Howdy from Designer Chris! Today's card, show casing one of Sparkle N Sprinkle's newest October digi stamp set. I used the Farm Fresh - Cows digital stamp. I also created by own background, and layered in one of the background papers from the Lovely Magnolia digital stamp set from the recent September release. Here is the card. Let's check it out!
One of the many exciting things about using a digi stamp is that it is sizeable. I made the image to the size I wanted, on my computer. I also layered some of the images together (I used the pre-colored images, which are an incredible time saver!). I sized the milk tins and boots (one image) to what I wanted, then added in an egg basket and placed it "behind" the tins on the right, and another larger egg basket "behind" the boots on the left. I sized the left side egg basket bigger because it is more in the foreground and it added some depth to the image by making the baskets different sizes. I dropped in the sweet sentiment from Laura Ingalls Wilder (who I grew up reading!). I printed out the image onto white cardstock, and then die cut it with the Tonic Studio Tonic Die Swirling Frame Layering Die Set. I also blinged up the eggs, boots, and tins. I applied the Nuvo Glue Pen Small onto strategic areas, and used the following glitters: Sonic Silver for the tins, Aquamarine for the boot stripes, and Rose Gold and Peruvian Lily for the eggs. I squeezed on some White Blizzard Nuvo Crystal Drops in two spots around the sentiment.
I also framed up my card base. After I layered everything onto the card, I adhered a strip of 1/8" Tear-ific Tape and burnished in Collegiate Garnet glitter. I also squeezed on drops of Ebony Black Crystal Drops to the corners. So fun! This is also a better photo of the background I made. I started with the green paper option in the Lovely Magnolia digi stamp set. I then layered and sized the cows onto the background. I repeated the cows over and over and staggered them to make a patterned paper background. Once everything was how I wanted it, I printed it out onto white cardstock, and then die cut with the Tonic Studio Tonic Die Swirling Frame Layering Die Set.
I needed more ... I used the Nuvo Glue Pen Small again and rolled on some adhesive along the top and bottom edge of the stamp image die. I sprinkled on more Aquamarine glitter to add just a little hint of sparkle. I also laid down a strip of 1/8" Tear-ific Tape across the front of the main image and burnished in some Sterling glitter.
This was a fun card to make, and it was so much fun and easy using those digital images. I highly recommend this!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!
