And, now ... more about my project! I used the Turkey Dish stamp set. I stamped out the image on white cardstock and colored it in. This was really fun to color. She is really cute and has leaves and fall foliage in her hair! Let's check out the card I made.

I adhered a strip of 2-1/2" Double sided "Tear-ific" Tape to my cardstock base and did the lace technique (more on that below) for the background strip. I used Autumn Medley and Black Ice glitters. After I colored her, I also added some sparkle to her hair foliage. I used the Fine Nuvo Glue Pen to lay down some adhesive on the leaves in her hair, and then sprinkled on some Easy Green glitter. The Easy Green glitter is a semi-transparent glitter - this allows the color underneath the glitter to also show through. I really like using semi-transparent glitter and these leaves were perfect for this type of glitter. The glitter made her hair accessories even cuter!

I also wanted to pizzazz up the image a little bit more. I pulled out the incredible Ripened Pumpkin Crystal Drops and squeezed out some drops on the edges of the image panel. These Crystal Drops are so fun and so easy to use! They squeeze out perfectly, and have such nice height to them. Here is a shot that shows what great lift the drops have! I love it!
There are a couple sentiments in this stamp set. I wanted just "Holiday Wishes" to be stamped out. I inked up the full sentiment ("and Holiday Wishes") with Versamark Ink and stamped it on cardstock. I then wiped off the "and" that was stamped with ink, and then sprinkled on White Detail embossing powder and heat embossed the words. I also drew a strip of glue with the Fine Nuvo Glue Pen across the top and bottom of the sentiment panel, and dusted on some Aztec Gold glitter to make it pop a bit more too! Ya can't ever have enough glitter!

I also decorated her dress with some more sparkles. In the photo below you can see how I used the Fine Nuvo Glue Pen to adhere glue to her pockets, and then I sprinkled on some Gypsy Red glitter. This just gave her dress a little extra something!

I also jazzed up her leggings.I used the Fine Nuvo Glue Pen again and drew on some adhesive on the stripes. I sprinkled on Easy Green glitter, which made her leggings so fun!

Okay, now back to the Lace Technique, and what I did ...

I laid down a strip of 2-1/2" Double sided "Tear-ific" Tape on my cardstock panel. Here is a photo of what it looked like before I peeled off the release paper on top of the adhesive.

After pulling off the release paper, I laid down a piece of lace over the adhesive, and pressed it lightly to the adhesive to keep it from moving, and make sure it was adhered down. After the lace was pressed into the adhesive, I dumped on some of the Autumn Medley glitter and burnished it in. Here is a photo of what the lace looked like.

After burnishing in the glitter, I dumped off the remaining, unadhered glitter, brushed it well with my glitter brush, then slowly peeled off the lace. This exposes the remainder of the "Tear-ific" Tape that still has no glitter adhered to it yet. Here is a photo of what it looked like as I was peeling off the lace.

After the lace is removed, I dumped on the second color, which was Black Ice glitter in this case. I burnished it in and it adhered to the remaining adhesive, but doesn't adhere to the first glitter color that is already adhered. Here is what it looked like as I dumped on the Black Ice glitter.
I wanted to add even more oomph to my glittered portion of the cardstock panel. So, I whipped out my 1/8" Double sided "Tear-ific" Tape and adhered a strip to the edge of the glittered lace section. Then, I sprinkled on some Aztec Gold glitter and burnished it in. This gave just a little something to the panel and made it a bit more fun! This photo shows the tape strip before I added in the glitter.
Once again, here is a photo of the card. This card was a lot of fun to make and it has so many fun little components to it.

I hope you have enjoyed this blog hop! Make sure you keep going and comment on ALL of the designers' blogs to be eligible for the prize! Your next stop is Diane. She has a great project to show you. I know you will love it!

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Stella Witch [09.28.2016]

Hi! As one of the Sparkle N Sprinkle's designers, I get to showcase the new stamps each month. And let me tell ya, September's new stamps do not disappoint! I LOVE Halloween, and this new stamp set, Stella - Call Me Witch Stamp Set had me at hello! Let's check out what I made with this really fun stamp set!!

This Stella stamp is designed so cute and fun! I just had to sparkle up her hair all crazy and sparkly ... I stamped her out multiple times on different patterned paper and fussy cut her and paper pieced her all back together. That was my base layer for color. Then, I drew on some Fine Nuvo Glue Pen to lay down adhesive, and sprinkled on Silver Leaf tinsel glitter for her hair. I LOVE it!

I paper pieced her dress with purple patterned paper, and glittered over it. Busted out the Fine Nuvo Glue Pen again, and sprinkled Hyacinth Velvet glitter over the dress. This made the dress sparkle a lot!

Her boot buckles were glittered with Peruvian Lily glitter. Let's check out this fun color!

This stamp set has a fun sentiment which I stamped out on orange paper. I die cut out the sentiment in a circle. I framed the sentiment circle by punching out a scalloped circle from cardstock that I had covered with 2-1/2" Double sided "Tear-ific" Tape. I burnished in Black Ice glitter and layered the sentiment circle over the glittered-up scalloped circle. I also dropped on some Morning Dew Crystal Drops inside the round letters (ya know, remember when you would doodle or fill in those circles while in home room ... am I the only one who did that?!?), and dropped some Ebony Black Crystal Drops around the edges.

I did some other sparkly additions to the card too (ya can never have enough sparkle!!!). I punched the edge of the card panel, layered on a strip of 1/.2" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape underneath the card panel and then burnished in more Black Ice glitter through the star holes punched by the border. I also ran a strip of 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape on top of the card panel and used even more Black Ice glitter. Just for even more fun, I squeezed on some Dandelion Yellow and Ripened Pumpkin Crystal Drops. I also stamped out the stars in Versamark Ink and heat embossed them in different colors. I embossed the stars in Daffodil and Black Magic embossing powders.

Here is the full card, showing all the glittery and sparkly goodness. I also put a strip of 1/.2" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape under the left edge of the card and burnished in Tiger Orange Velvet glitter. This anchored the card and added a teeny bit more pop to the card. I layered the entire card front over a scalloped rectangle die cut from black cardstock, and the card was done.

Halloween will be here before we know it ... I hope to see lots of cute trick-or-treaters dressed up on this fun evening. I hope you enjoyed this card - I had a lot of fun making it!

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Halloween Cat Card [09.21.2016]

One of Sparkle N Sprinkle's September new stamp releases is this really fun Halloween Cat stamp set. I love it! Let's check out what I did with it to showcase one of their new stamps as a Sparkle N Sprinkle Designer.
I stamped out the image on black cardstock with Versamark Ink, and then sprinkled on Orange Marmalade embossing powder and heat set it. This embossing powder is so much fun! You can see the different textures and colors within the powder, and it has a lot of depth to it. So pretty! Here is the full stamped image closer up.
The image really looked great over the black cardstock background. The cat and bats really popped off the background. The cat silhouette is so cool. Here is another shot of just the cat close up. I couldn't get enough of how neat this looked.
The Halloween Cat stamp set.also has a fun sentiment. I stamped it on black cardstock with Versamark Ink, and then sprinkled on Silver Lightning embossing powder and heat set it. Then, I cut it with a banner die in my stash.  I layered it in a corner so it didn't cover up any of the wonderful cat and moon image.
I also added a little pop to the sentiment with Crystal Drops Gloss Ripened Pumpkin. These drops are FABULOUS! They squeeze out so perfectly, and with a lot of nice heft and height. I LOVE them! The orange looked great against the black cardstock.
I also die cut some filigree and flowers and added them to the edge of the card. To add a little bit more pizazz to my card, I embossed some flowers. I die cut some flowers and swiped them through Versamark Ink, and sprinkled on Silver Lightning embossing powder and heat set it. I layered the embossed flowers over the edge of the card, and adhered it with Brushable Glue. After it was adhered, I squeezed on a dollop of Crystal Drops Ebony Black inside the center of the flower. It really added another nice dimension to the flower! Here is one of the embossed flowers.
I also added on a bow using the Mon Ami Orange Pull Ribbon. This ribbon is so awesome. i cut about a 12 inch strip. I grasped both ends and then pulled the little string which easily created this bow! I tied the ends, and then glued it onto the card.
I love Halloween! It is my favorite holiday :) This card made me so happy because it reminded me how close it is to Halloween. I will be dispensing lots of candy to trick-or-treaters. I can't wait!

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Crafting Is Exercise Card [09.14.2016]

Hi from Sparkle N Sprinkler Designer Chris! I am in love with the new Bugaboo stamps that Sparkle N Sprinkle is now carrying. This Crafting is Exercise stamp set had me at Hello, so I made this card to share with you! Here it is.
I printed out a colored image of the digital version of the stamp. This makes a card so much easier to pull together! I used an oval die to cut out the image.
I blinged up the dress by using the new (and AMAZING!) Nuvo Glue Pen Fine adhesive and sprinkled on Ocean semi-transparent glitter. I love to do dimensions, so I printed several copies of the colored image. I fussy cut out the dress, apron, roller tote, her hand full of markers, and her head, and layered them with foam dimensional tape to pop them above the original image. Here is a shot from the side showing the dimension.
I also like to bling up images ... The roller tote and dress just begged to have sparkles! I used the new Nuvo Glue Pen Fine to roll adhesive onto the fussy cut tote, and sprinkled on Raspberry Soda semi-transparent glitter. I love using semi-transparent glitter because the color of the glitter can be seen, but it also allows what is under it to show through. I use them a LOT! Let's peek at the roller tote.
I pretty much always want MORE bling on my card projects, and this one was begging for MORE! I layered the oval card panel over a die cut floral wreath. I layered the two together, and added some sparkle within the floral pieces (more on that below). I also used the new Nuvo Glue Pen Fine tolay down a strip of adhesive along the inside edge of the oval and sprinkled on Cloud Nine semi-transparent glitter. Here is a shot of the wreath and glitter strip.

Even though I used the digital stamp version for my image, I wanted to use the rubber version of the Crafting is Exercise stamp set for my sentiment. The sentiment cracks me up! It says "Crafting counts as exercise." Ha ha! So true! I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink, and then heat set Mulberry embossing powder. This is one of my favorite embossing powders. I love the color, which is a nice pinkish color with some depth. Fabulous! I also created a bit of a frame around the card as well with the Mulberry embossing powder.
Okay, back to how I added some dimension to the floral wreath and blinged it up. I pulled out some card stock and adhered a strip of 2-1/2" Double sided "Tear-ific" tape to it. I laid down the dies that I wanted to cut out, and ran them through my Cuttlebug machine. Here is a photo of the card stock with the "Tear-ific" tape strip adhered, and the dies positioned, ready to be cut!
After I die cut out the pieces, I peeled off the release paper, and sprinkled on Cloud Nine semi-transparent glitter to each piece. I then strategically placed the sparkled up pieces within the wreath and added the bow to the front of the card. This gave the whole card a lot of sass and sparkle!
This card was lots of fun, and I love all the sparkle with the white on white and the pops of color from the glitters on the dress and tote. The sentiment pops as well. I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it and sharing it with you!

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!
