Hi! All I can say is WOW about the new November stamps at Sparkle N Sprinkle! So. Much. Fun! For today's card, I used the 808 Festive Lantern Stamp Set. I love the lantern, and the poinsettias are perfect too. Let's check out the card.
I stamped the lantern stamp with black pigment ink, and then added Clear Detail
embossing powder, and heat set it. I die cut the image with an oval
die. Then, I started decorating! I colored the candle with a red marker
and colored the flame with yellow and orange. You know me, I need some
bling! So, after coloring these, I whipped out my new favorite adhesive,
the Nuvo Glue Pen Fine, and rolled out adhesive onto the candle. I sprinkled on Collegiate Garnet glitter and made the candle super sparkly! I used the Nuvo Glue Pen Fine again on the flame, and added Evening Glow glitter. I also repeated the Nuvo Glue Pen Fine again on the lantern and sprinkled on Black Ice
glitter. As always, I try to not completely cover the image with glue
before applying glitter. I want to make sure the image details show
through!
The 808 Festive Lantern Stamp Set
has some really pretty poinsettia images. I colored white cardstock in
shades of pink, and then stamped out the poinsettias with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed Glitzy Gold
embossing powder. Then, I fussy cut them out. I stamped out a bunch of
them so I had a lot to cut out! Then, I paper pieced and layered them to
add a lot of dimension to the flowers. After the flowers were all
layered up, I squeezed on some Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flower centers. Here is a shot from the side showing the dimension.
There is an amazing sentiment with this set. What a wonderful saying, and
something we need to all keep in mind. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and heat embossed Glitzy Gold embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment with an oval die, and framed it with red cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!-Chris
