The Big Day 749 stamp set has so many great planner and calendar items, and I thought it would be fun to use the fun words and images in an invitation to show how versatile this stamp set is! Here is my card invitation:
I stamped out the Big Day 749 images I wanted on Versamark Ink Pad VM-001, and sprinkled on all sorts of embossing powders. For the "party" stamp, I used Daffodil Embossing Powder EP217. I used Moss Embossing Powder EP418 for the "birthday" stamp.
I covered the edges of a cardstock panel with 1/2" Double sided "Tear-ific" tape SAT04, and then die cut the panel with a scalloped rectangle die. I covered the edges with Tyrian Glitter G1089, which is one of my favorite colors! It is gorgeous :)
Here is another shot of the other imaged I stamped out for this invitation. I did the "date night" stamp in Red Apple Embossing Powder EP276. I did the "travel" stamp in Mediterranean Embossing Powder EP417.
I used all four of the embossing powders on the "big day" stamp. I thought it was fun to combine all four colors into a bit of a rainbow. Check it out:
I also used the awesome Flourishes One Stamp Set 516 and colored inks to decorate the background of my card panel. I love these flourishes and how much fun they are!
The next stop on our blog hop is Shona. Check out the incredible project Shona did!

Hi! I am celebrating another birthday, and I made a cute little tag with a doggie on it. I used Lawn Fawn's Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and matching dies, and stamped and cut out the sweet little puppy, the butterfly, bow tie, bone, and tennis ball.
I also used some patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn collection. I stamped out a tag from Lawn Fawn's Winter Gifts set, and die cut it out with the Tag, You're It die. I also used the Stitched Scalloped Border to trim the top edge of the grass under the doggie.
This was fun to make, and a quick tag to put on a birthday gift. I hope my friend likes the gift, and the tag!

Sparkle N Sprinkle has the most amazing beach and
water stamp sets, and I just had to make a tropical sunset with all the
accouterments of being at the beach! Let's check out the card I made:
I stamped out a lot of the images in the Tropical Stamp Set 158, and colored them with Copic
markers, and then fussy cut them out. I also die cut out a scalloped
circle, and a little bit smaller circle to help highlight the sunset. I
also used Distress Inks and blended on some sunset colors. After I made
the background sunset with ink, I covered the darker part of the sunset
with Evening Glow Semi-transparent Glitter G1086, and the lighter part with Daisy Velvet Glitter (microfine) Semi-transparent GM2019. I adhered both of these with Brushable Glue 540.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink Pad VM-001 and sprinkled on White Detail Embossing Powder EP298,
and heat set it. I then cut out the sentiment with a label die. While
the die was still in place, I ink blended a Distress ink over the white
cardstock and white embossing powder. The embossed sentiment resisted
the ink, and the white stood out over the colored background. Keeping
the die around the paper, while inking it, allowed the die to frame the
sentiment as well. I also used Brushable Glue 540 to adhere a short strip of Pearl Mesh Small MON21 to the sentiment label. Here is what it looked like close up:
I stamped out some of the images in the Tropical Stamp Set 158, and colored them with Copic markers. Below is the sweet shell. I love it! I colored it in soft pink shades, and then used my Sakura Glue Pen to adhere Bubble Gum Semi-transparent Glitter G1088 to the shell. I added a single Pearl Mesh Large MON20 pearl to the center.

Every
beach needs palm trees, and this awesome stamp set doesn't disappoint! I
stamped out, colored, and fussy cut out some palm trees. I added some
additional color to the palm fronds with the beautiful Easy Green Semi-transparent Glitter G1077 with Brushable Glue 540 to add a little more something-something to the palm tree. I love this color and what it adds to the image :)
Starfish are totes adorbs too, and this stamp set includes the cutest starfish. After coloring the starfish, I added Brushable Glue 540 and Daisy Velvet Glitter (microfine) Semi-transparent GM2019. I added a little sweet small pearl from the Pearl Mesh Small MON21 to complete the starfish.
The last image I put on this card was the sweet sand dollar. One of my
favorite types of shells. When I am beach combing, and come across a
sand dollar, I always pick it up :) I love them! I kept this one fairly
simple, with just a hint of color, with Celestial Semi-transparent Glitter G1031, adhered with Brushable Glue 540.
I
love spending time on the beach, beach combing, and looking for amazing
and beautiful shells. I love palm trees, and sunsets too. This Tropical Stamp Set 158 has it all!
Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

Today's card is a sweet little gal from Sparkle N Sprinkle's Beach Babes Stamp Set 473. I just loved this little gal, with her bucket and shovel. So fun!
I also colored her hat, the same colors and glitters above.
Her sweet little bucket was colored in green, and then glittered with Easy Green Semi-transparent Glitter G1077.
Her shovel was also glittered up with Sonic Silver Velvet Glitter (microfine) GM2002.
I stamped out the sentiment with Versamark Ink, and then used Sparkle N Sprinkle's White Detail Embossing Powder EP298. I cut out the sentiment using a banner die cut, and then used an ink blending tool to ink a light brown over the sentiment. The white embossing powder resisted the ink so the sentiment popped out!
Sparkle N Sprinkle's Sparkling Sands Sparkle N Soft SS118 was the perfect thing to give the sand area some texture and color. I also colored the starfish and covered him up with some Evening Glow Semi-transparent Glitter G1086.
I gave the edges of the kraft paper a little bit of sparkly color with 1/8" Double-sided "Tear-ific" Tape SAT02, and a dusting of Sparkling Sands Sparkle N Soft SS118.
I made my own DIY wave embossing background ... I took some wave dies and laid them over my background paper, and used am embossing mat and ran them through my Cuttlebug. This gave the background paper some wave texture, but didn't actually cut the paper with the wave dies. That is a great way to get extra mileage out of cutting dies :)
This sweet Beach Babe is ready for her fun day in the sun, with sand in her toes!

I got this this gorgeous Mermaid Kisses Stamp Set 529 from Sparkle N Sprinkle and just had to have her! I love it. This is what I did:
This
mermaid was so much fun! I stamped out the mermaid and some shells on
white Copic-friendly cardstock, then colored her in with Copic markers. I made her sparkle with a LOT of glitters - these were so much fun to add on. I used Brushable Glue 540 for each area, and then sprinkled on glitter. For her body, I used Easy Green Semi-transparent Glitter G1077. Her flowers are colored with Raspberry Soda Semi-transparent Glitter G1052. Her hair is colored with Celestial Semi-transparent Glitter G1031.
Her tiara has Sonic Silver Opaque Glitter GM2002.
I stamped out and colored some shell shapes for corners. I used the Sakura Glue Pen to draw on where I wanted the glitter. So easy to use for fine detail! I used Surf Semi-transparent Glitter G1117, Easy Green Semi-transparent Glitter G1077, and Raspberry Soda Semi-transparent Glitter G1052.
Here is the other corner, using the same glitters and techniques. I also framed the Mermaid image with Pearl Mesh Small MON21. I adhered the Pearl Mesh with 1/8" Double-sided "Tear-ific" Tape SAT02, and then sprinkled on Bridal Opaque Glitter G1029 onto the remaining adhesive to add a little more sparkle!
I colored in the water with Copic and then drew on some glue lines with the Sakura Glue Pen, and sprinkled on Fascination Opaque Glitter G1030 to make the waves surrounding the rock base sparkle :) The shells are colored with Surf Semi-transparent Glitter G1117and Easy Green Semi-transparent Glitter G1077.
Here
are some photos of the Mermaid before she was all glittered and glammed
up. I cut her out with a die cut that also makes the frame (photo
further below) in addition to cutting out the image area.
Here are the shell images stamped out, colored, and then fussy cut.
The
die I used cut out the Mermaid rectangle, and the frame below. I used
an ink blending tool to color the frame with distress ink.
After
everything was colored, I layered everything together, and was done!
This Mermaid is so sweet, and I just love her.

Almost everybody loves chocolate ... and I have a person in my life that really enjoys a rich, deep, dark chocolate so I am always on the lookout for speciality and unique dark chocolate for her. I found a bar recently, and made her a little gift tag. Here is what I did:
I stamped out a rose and leaves using several inks (light, medium, dark in pink and green) with Alt E New's Vintage Roses stamp set. I love this layered stamp! It makes roses that are just to die for, and are simply gorgeous :) The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Just My Type Too (unfortunately, a retired set, but it is still available, on sale, at Lawn Fawn's online store). I cut out the cardstock and background patterned paper with Lawn Fawn's new Scalloped Rectangle Stackables dies. I wrapped a coordinating strip of washi tape from my stash around the bar to make a ribbon wrap, and called it good! Simple, easy, fun!
Here is another closeup of the rose & leaf stamped out. Alt E New's Vintage Roses stamp set might appear intimidating at first, but it is really easy to use, and makes beautiful flowers very easily!
I hope my friend enjoyed her little bit of chocolate.

Hi! I kinda have a thing for pink, and when I saw these flamingos from Sparkle N Sprinkle in the Flamingo Bay Stamp Set 512, I just knew I had to make some pink flamingos in water! Here is what I made:
I
die cut out an oval shape from white cardstock, and then stamped out
the silhouette flamingo with pink pigment ink in the middle, and covered
it with Super Thick Clear Semi-transparent Embossing Powder EP230.
This embossing powder is really chunky, so I kept the card panel flat
and heated it from below. This kept the embossing powder from
accidentally rolling off the image. I repeated flamingos, in a row,
across the oval and heat set them as I went. The embossing powder is
really thick, and it made the flamingos look like they had feathers too -
just enough texture to give it body while still being really thick and
smooth.
After
stamping and embossing the flamingos, I cut a post-it note as a mask,
with a slight arch to frame the water shape. I laid down the masking
paper and used distress ink to color the water. Once that was done, I
removed that mask, placed the other part of the mask down over the water
that I just colored, and ink blended distress ink as the background.
Here is another closeup of the incredible embossing powder. That Super Thick Clear Semi-transparent Embossing Powder EP230 is awesome!
I framed the flamingo oval with a strip of Diamond Mesh Pink MON8. To do this, I laid down some Brushable Glue 540, and then layered the pink mesh over it. I also sprinkled a bit of Bubble Gum Semi-transparent Glitter G1088 to cover up the remaining adhesive that was still showing. This pink mesh is really awesome!
I stamped out the sentiment from the Flamingo Bay Stamp Set 512, using White Detail Embossing Powder EP298,
and heat set it. I cut out the sentiment with a banner die. After
cutting the die, but while the paper was still inside the die frame, I
blended distress ink over the white cardstock to make it pink. I did
some blending, so the edges were darker while the inside was lighter,
but still dark enough that the white embossed sentiment was visible. The
white embossing powder resists the ink, so it pops out.
These flamingos make me smile - they are so pink and fun. Go Pink Power!
I hope you are having a wonderful day. Thanks so much for stopping by the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog!
