Sparkle N Sprinkle A Peppermint Christmas Tag

What a wonderful day! Today's project is a holiday tag, featuring Sparkle N Sprinkle's A Peppermint Christmas digi stamp set. This stamp set is delightful and so sweet. Let's take a gander at what I created using it.

Supply List:
Sparkle N Sprinkle A Peppermint Christmas digi stamp [DIGI3148M]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Pink Lady embossing powder [EP337]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Spring Willow embossing powder [EP388]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Golden Sparkle embossing powder [EP106]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Super Thick Silver [EP467]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Margarita glitter [GM2032]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Ballerina glitter [GM2024]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Pink Fizz glitter [GM2050]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Butterscotch glitter [GM2051]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Waterfall glitter [G1071]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Brushable Glue [540]
Versamark ink [VM-001]
Stampendous Blossom Scroll stamp [6CR003]
Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen [206N]
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive [200N]

I started out by sizing the digi image to what I wanted. I printed it out onto white cardstock, then tore the outer edges of the cardstock to give it some texture. I also swiped Versamark Ink along the outer edge of the image and sprinkled on Golden Sparkle embossing powder and heat set it. I also created a layer to go below the fairy, by covering the edges of some cardstock with Versamark Ink, and sprinkling on Spring Willow embossing powder and heat set it. I repeated the steps and added a second layer to make it more opague. I also sprinkled on some Super Thick Silver embossing powder and heat set from underneath. To create the tag, I covered my tag with white gesso, let it dry, then stamped it with Versamark Ink and the Stampendous Blossom Scroll stamp. I sprinkled on Pink Lady embossing powder and heat set it. This created a lot of texture and color onto the background. You can see how beautiful that blossom stamp is ... but it ended up getting covered up quite a bit. In this photo below, you can also see the 5 colors of glitter that I used to enhance the fairy - which were: Pink Fizz, Butterscotch, Ballerina, Margarita, and Waterfall. I love these colors!

Because this was a digi stamp, I created some "patterned paper" to die cut some roses. To do this, I took one of the images in the stamp set and blew it up to a huge size on my computer. I cropped it to select just the section I wanted, which was two shades of pink and a strip of black. I used this as my "pattern" and printed out a piece of cardstock. I die cut the roses, shaped them, and glued them together with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Then, I added them to the tag and brushed on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Brushable Glue to the edges, and then dusted on a layer of Ballerina glitter as well. This extra glitter really made these roses extra special!

Here is a close up of the fairy. I rolled on some Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen to select areas of the fairy, and added in the glitters from above (Pink Fizz, Butterscotch, Ballerina, Margarita, and Waterfall). I added highlights to her wings, her bow, her candy cane, and her tutu. I also glittered up the candy, bow, and star border.

I love this digi image. It is so sweet, so adorable, and I love pink, so it had me at hello! I  know you will love it too, and I can't wait to see what you create with it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

-Chris
