Hi! I made this thank you card for a friend who loves Hawaii. It has "aloha" on the front, and "mahalo" (Hawaiian for "hello") inside. I stamped a little hawaiian girl with a flower in her hair. I colored her in with copic markers, and masked over her. I ink blended some distress inks on the background to give her a bit of a glow. I die cut the panel with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle, and also die cut a piece of khaki cardstock with the Stitched Rectangles too, and then used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Borders to create a beach slope and colored it with copics to make it look like sand/beach. I framed it using Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Rectangle die to die cut some colored cardstock. Let's check it out.
I added some Sparkle N Sprinkle's Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew over the hibiscus flower and her eyes. This made them sparkle a bit more!
For the beach/sand ground, I colored the khaki cardstock with copic markers and a white gel pen. I treated the cardstock with my Anti Static Bag from Sparkle N Sprinkle, and also stamped the sentiment with colored ink, then stamped again with Versamark Ink and sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Clear embossing powder and heat set it.
For the inside of the card, I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangles, using Lawn Fawn's Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper Pack. Then, I stamped out the mahalo sentiment using colored ink, then stamped again with Versamark Ink and sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Clear embossing powder and heat set it. This made the sentiment shine.
This sweet card makes me smile, and think fondly of Hawaii. I hope my friend appreciates the connection to Hawaii!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!
