Sparkle N Sprinkle's Wild Rose on Vellum Card [06.22.2016]

Today's card is another card for Sparkle N Sprinkle. I am over the moon with this month's new stamp sets! The one I used today is the Wild Rose Stamp Set [785]. Let's peek at it!
To make the card, I partial die cut a circle towards the top of a card panel. I laid my top plate at an angle so I could partially die cut the circle on an angle too. After I die cut the circle, I used a metal ruler and X-acto knife to cut off the top of the panel, at the same angle. Then, I stamped the wild rose stamp inside the circle. I colored the wild roses with Copic markers. Once everything was colored, I pulled out my Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky] and draw on some glue. Afterwards, I sprinkled on some Rose Gold Glitter [GM2023] to the centers of the roses. I used Princess Anna Fuschia [G1120] for the rose petals, and Easy Green Semi-Transparent Glitter [G1077] for the leaves. Here is what the rose image looked like.
This stamp set has several sentiments, and is a great all purpose set. I went with the Wishing You Joy sentiment, which seemed perfect. I lined it up with the angle of the paper, and stamped it in black dye ink. After that, I stamped over it again with the Versamark Ink Pad [VM-001] and sprinkled on some of my favorite Dragon Fruit Embossing Powder [EP410] over the existing black ink. After heat embossing, the sentiment was so cool, because it showed the dragon fruit color, and black and white. Absolutely gorgeous!
I also layered the front panel over a piece of scored vellum. The back/inside of the card had patterned paper. You can see the pretty pink patterned paper inside the card, through the vellum, in this photo.
Here is another angle of the sentiment, and all the cool effects from using the Dragon Fruit Embossing Powder [EP410] over the black ink.
And, another shot of the wild rose image and all the fun, gorgeous sparkle from the glitters!
Here is a side photo of the card showing the front panel, vellum, and inside panel with patterned paper.
Here is a photo of the card fully opened. The vellum was really fun to use, and worked out great to add a little something different to the front of the card, while muting the patterned paper.
This Wild Rose stamp set is so versatile. I look forward to seeing what you create with this amazing set.

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

Chris
