Star Thank You Card

Hi! Today's card is a card I made to honor one of my team mates who is leaving to new adventures. He works for our STAR program, so I just had to use stars in it ... and I used some OLD Lawn Fawn and some NEW Lawn Fawn, so it was perfect for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge (Something Old, Something New) too! Let's check out the card.

Supply List:
Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel
Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Shooting Star Add-On
Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Sentiments
Lawn Fawn Gleeful Garden and dies
Lawn Fawn Puffy Star Stackables
Lawn Fawn Lucky Stars
Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow 6x6 pack
Sprinkle N Sprinkle Sparkle embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle Blue Ribbon embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle Tangy Tangerine embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle Royal Purple embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle Red Apple embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle Palm Green embossing powder
Versamark ink [VM-001]
Versafine Onyx Black ink [VF-82]
Anti Static Bag [99512]
Memento Tuxedo Black ink [ME-900]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]

I die cut out some stars in yellow cardstock, using the Lawn Fawn Puffy Star Stackables die and my Tonic Tangerine machine. I stamped out the stars with sentiments from the Reveal Wheel Sentiments stamp set, using Versamark ink, and then sprinkled on embossing powders and heat set them. I used Sparkle N Sprinkle's Blue Ribbon, Tangy Tangerine, Royal Purple, Red Apple, and Palm Green embossing powders. I also die cut out the components to the Reveal Wheel and the Reveal Wheel Shooting Star Add-On. I die cut a circle from a piece of Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper, which I adhered to my "spinner" inside the Reveal Wheel. This way, the star changes colors! So fun.

Here is another "spin" on the reveal wheel with a different colored star!

I stamped out some snails, the flower, and the grass from the Gleeful Gardens stamp set. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored the images with Copic markers. Then, I stamped them again (cuz I was using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and could over-stamp in exactly the same spot!), using Versafine Black Onyx ink. I sprinkled on some Sparkle embossing powder and heat set it. This made the images have some sparkly shine to the outlines.

For the inside of the card, I stamped out a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Lucky Star stamp set. I also stamped stars around the edges too.

This was a fun card to make, and it was really fun to mix some old Lawn Fawn with some new Lawn Fawn. Their newest release is AMAZING!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Merry Christmas Tree Tag

It isn't quite the holiday season yet ... but it is never too soon to make a fun, wonky Christmas tree! Today's project is a tag using Sparkle N Sprinkle's new Merry Christmas Tree digi stamp, which I die cut with Tonic Hexagon Layering Basics Die Set and then reconstructed it. It reminds me of a Dr. Seuss-type tree and it makes me happy! Let's dig deeper into this fun tree tag.

Supply List:
Sparkle N Sprinkle Merry Christmas Tree digi stamp [DIGI906BG]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Journal Mixed Media stamp set [00-606P5]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Hit the Beach embossing powder [EP394]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Super Thick Gold embossing powder [EP235]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Gold Coast embossing powder [EP364]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Bubblegum glitter [G1088]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Purple Fig glitter [GM2047]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Shamrock glitter [GM2041]
Sparkle N Sprinkle 24KT Gold glitter [GM2038]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Gypsy Red glitter [GM2005]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Ocean glitter [G1126]
Sparkle N Sprinkle 1/8" Tear-ific Tape [SAT02]
Sparkle N Sprinkle 1/4" Tear-ific Tape [SAT01]
Tonic Hexagon Layering Basics Die Set [1521E]
Nuvo Iced Americano Glitter Marker [190N]
Nuvo Morning Moss Glitter Marker [189N]
Nuvo Urban Graphite Glitter Marker [188N]
Versamark ink [VM-001]
Anti Static Bag [99512]
Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen [206N]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic 12" Wide Base Craft Guillotine [454a]
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]

Because this is a digi image, I manipulated the size of the image on my computer, and then printed it out onto white cardstock. I printed two copies of it since I planned to die cut up the tree and needed a second image to layer behind so all the hexagon shapes would line up. After I die cut the tree, I adhered a strip of 1/8" Tear-ific Tape around all the edges, and pressed in Gold Coast embossing powder, and heat set them. This framed each hexagon shape, which you can see below.

I also wanted to highlight the sentiment. I trimmed the sentiment with my Tonic Guillotine trimmer, added some 1/8" Tear-ific Tape to the edges, and then pressed in some Ocean glitter. This really made the sentiment pop. I also added some glitter to the ornaments. I rolled on some Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen and then sprinkled on Gypsy Red, Ocean, Bubblegum, and Purple Fig to the ornaments.

To create the tag and background, I started out by painting my chipboard tag with white gesso. Then, once it was dry, I marked up my Journal Mixed Media stamp set with the Nuvo Iced Americano Glitter Marker. I stamped out the image onto the tag and did this several times. Here is a photo of what that looked like.

For the next few layers on the tag, I inked up the "coffee cup stain" stamp from the Journal Mixed Media stamp set with the Nuvo Morning Moss Glitter Marker and stamped that circle a few times on the tag too. I also inked up the bubble image with the Urban Graphite Glitter Marker and stamped more of that image, but in this new color. After that was done, I adhered some big dimensional glue dots to the tag, and then sprinkled on some of the Super Thick Gold embossing powder and heat set it.

To finish the tag, I adhered a few strips of both 1/4" and 1/8" Tear-ific Tape across the tag. I sprinkled on 24KT Gold, Shamrock, and Gypsy Red glitters, as you can see below.

Here is a close up of that fun coverage and splatter I got from the Super Thick Gold embossing powder. It is fantastic!

This was a fun tag to make. I can't wait for the upcoming holidays, and showcasing this silly, fun, wonky Christmas Tree. It makes me laugh!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle A Peppermint Christmas Tag

What a wonderful day! Today's project is a holiday tag, featuring Sparkle N Sprinkle's A Peppermint Christmas digi stamp set. This stamp set is delightful and so sweet. Let's take a gander at what I created using it.

Supply List:
Sparkle N Sprinkle A Peppermint Christmas digi stamp [DIGI3148M]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Pink Lady embossing powder [EP337]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Spring Willow embossing powder [EP388]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Golden Sparkle embossing powder [EP106]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Super Thick Silver [EP467]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Margarita glitter [GM2032]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Ballerina glitter [GM2024]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Pink Fizz glitter [GM2050]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Butterscotch glitter [GM2051]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Waterfall glitter [G1071]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Brushable Glue [540]
Versamark ink [VM-001]
Stampendous Blossom Scroll stamp [6CR003]
Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen [206N]
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive [200N]

I started out by sizing the digi image to what I wanted. I printed it out onto white cardstock, then tore the outer edges of the cardstock to give it some texture. I also swiped Versamark Ink along the outer edge of the image and sprinkled on Golden Sparkle embossing powder and heat set it. I also created a layer to go below the fairy, by covering the edges of some cardstock with Versamark Ink, and sprinkling on Spring Willow embossing powder and heat set it. I repeated the steps and added a second layer to make it more opague. I also sprinkled on some Super Thick Silver embossing powder and heat set from underneath. To create the tag, I covered my tag with white gesso, let it dry, then stamped it with Versamark Ink and the Stampendous Blossom Scroll stamp. I sprinkled on Pink Lady embossing powder and heat set it. This created a lot of texture and color onto the background. You can see how beautiful that blossom stamp is ... but it ended up getting covered up quite a bit. In this photo below, you can also see the 5 colors of glitter that I used to enhance the fairy - which were: Pink Fizz, Butterscotch, Ballerina, Margarita, and Waterfall. I love these colors!

Because this was a digi stamp, I created some "patterned paper" to die cut some roses. To do this, I took one of the images in the stamp set and blew it up to a huge size on my computer. I cropped it to select just the section I wanted, which was two shades of pink and a strip of black. I used this as my "pattern" and printed out a piece of cardstock. I die cut the roses, shaped them, and glued them together with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Then, I added them to the tag and brushed on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Brushable Glue to the edges, and then dusted on a layer of Ballerina glitter as well. This extra glitter really made these roses extra special!

Here is a close up of the fairy. I rolled on some Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen to select areas of the fairy, and added in the glitters from above (Pink Fizz, Butterscotch, Ballerina, Margarita, and Waterfall). I added highlights to her wings, her bow, her candy cane, and her tutu. I also glittered up the candy, bow, and star border.

I love this digi image. It is so sweet, so adorable, and I love pink, so it had me at hello! I  know you will love it too, and I can't wait to see what you create with it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Hi! Today's card is a FUN card that also cracks me up! And, it has a lot of dimension. I used one of Sparkle N Sprinkle's new September stamp releases, Spring Chicken, for this fun card. Let's check it out.

Sparkle N Sprinkle 1/4" Tear-ific Tape [SAT01]
Sparkle N Sprinkle 1/8" Tear-ific Tape [SAT02]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Glitter Brush [SG1400]
Photoplay Rhapsody Collection Pack [RH2456]
Memento Tuxedo Black ink [ME-900]
Versafine Onyx Black ink [VF-82]
Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen [206N]
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive [200N]
Tonic Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat [1914E]
Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707e]
Tonic 12" Wide Base Craft Guillotine [454A]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138E]
Tonic Hexagon Layering Basics Die Set [1521E]

I created a dimensional card by die cutting cardstock with the Tonic Hexagon Layering Basics Die Set dies (see below for more details). I also die cut some hexagons, which reminded me of how chicken wire looks ... and used them to showcase the sentiments. I stamped out the sentiments, using my Tonic Tim  Holtz Stamp Platform and Versamark Ink. I sprinkled on Timber embossing powder and heat set it. I die cut the sentiment after stamping and heat embossing. I kept the die cut around the hexagon cardstock, and blended some distress ink over it to weather it a bit. Then, I removed the die, rolled on some Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen to the top and bottom edges, and sprinkled on Autumn Medley glitter. Here is a closeup of the sparkle!

I also used the honeycomb stamp from the Honey Bees stamp set and stamped out some random "chicken wire" shapes along the edges of the layers of the card panels too. Here is a close of up of the chicken wire that I stamped with Versamark Ink and then sprinkled on Silver Lightning embossing powder and then I heat set it. I also trimmed some of the edges with more Autumn Medley glue!

Here is a photo of the Bronze Rose embossing powder that I also used as well. I loved these two colors together, it definitely looked like chicken wire in real life.

Here is another photo of the entire card, with the depth. I started out with a back card panel that I covered with a piece of the woodgrain paper from the PhotoPlay Rhapsody Collection Pack. Then, I layered over the three hexagon die cut card panels over the back. I had stamped out the three chickens (see below for more info) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (which is Copic friendly) and then colored the chickens with Copic markers. Then, I stamped them again (since I was using the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform which allows re-stamping super easy!). I re-stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink, and then sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it. Then, I fussy cut out the chickens. I layered the chickens and sentiments along the edges of the card and within the layers. I also rolled on more glue onto the egg, and sprinkled on some Peruvian Lily glitter to the egg.You can see all the card dimension in this photo.

And finally, here are the layers that I started out with. I trimmed three pieces of cardstock for the layers using my Tonic Guillotine trimmer. I die cut out the hexagon shape (in three different sizes) with my Tonic Tangerine. Then, I stamped and heat embossed and ink blended up a storm to get colors and texture onto the panels before I assembled the card. Those chickens are so cute ... I love them!

These chickens crack me up. They are feisty, sassy, and totally adorable. I hope you enjoy them and create lots of silly and sassy card as well!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!
