The June stamp sets for Sparkle N Sprinkle are truly amazing! I LOVE these new flowers and roses, they are absolutely gorgeous! I used the Roses Stamp Set [784]. Here is my card.
I stamped the main rose in the center of my card panel, and stamped several other roses on scrap cardstock. I colored all the roses with Copic markers and then fussy cut out the rose in layers from the scrap cardstock images. I sprinkled on some Super Thick Clear Semi-transparent Embossing Powder [EP230] on the edges of each of the layers, and heat set them all from the bottom. I then used Scrapbook Adhesives - 3D Foam Squares - White [093616016145] to pop up each layer. You can see the dimension here.
Because I was going for a Clean and Simple card, I decided to add in some splatter to help fill some of the white space and move the eye. I mixed three embossing powders together: Super Thick Clear Semi-transparent Embossing Powder [EP230], White Detail Embossing Powder [EP298], and my new favorite Dragon Fruit Embossing Powder [EP410]. This created a softer and thicker dragon fruit color, with some additional dimension to it. I stamped out some splatter marks from Demo Donna's Stylin' Sayings Stamp Set [00-777P7] with Versamark Ink [VM-001], and I also drew on some random dots with the Versamark Pen [99561]. I dusted on the embossing powder mixture to these areas, and then heat set the powder. I wanted to add in a bit of silver too, so I pulled out my Super Thick Silver Enameled Embossing Powder [EP467], sprinkled it over the splatter areas, and heated from the bottom to keep it from flying away since the chunks are bigger. Here is a photo of some of the splatter.
And, another shot to show it above and below the dimensional rose. The splatter went from the bottom right to the upper left.
Here is a close up of the dew drops I made from Super Thick Clear Semi-transparent Embossing Powder [EP230]. I really like the look that this super thick embossing powder made. The rose had thick shiny drops on it, just like morning dew on the petals.
Because of the Super Thick Silver embossing powder, I wanted to continue the silver theme to frame the card. The Mon Ami Gabby Silver Diamond Mesh was the perfect embellishment! I cut out a frame that would go around the rose card panel. There are many colors of this diamond mesh. If Sparkle N Sprinkle doesn't show the color you want in stock, please contact the store to alert them what color you would like. The wonderful gals at the store will make it happen! I used one of my favorite, and most versatile, products to adhere the silver mesh to my card base. I laid down some 3/4" Double-sided "Tear-ific" Tape [SAT05] along all the edges, and adhered the silver mesh to it. Then, I burnished in some Sonic Silver Velvet Glitter (microfine) [GM2002] with my finger tool. This made a gorgeous frame for the card.
Here is another shot of the frame to show the sparkle in the silver glitter, and the gorgeous sparkly mesh.
I stamped out one of the sentiments from the Roses Stamp Set [784], and trimmed it into a banner. I edged it with a Copic marker,  and popped it up with foam adhesive over some ribbon. Here is the sentiment close up.
This card was so much fun to make, and I absolutely love this gorgeous stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I really hope you love it too, and I can't wait to see what you make with this set!

Here is another shot of the card.

Sparkle N Sprinkle Nasturtium Acetate Card [05.25.2016]

Hi, from Sparkle N Sprinkle Designer Chris! I love the Nasturtium stamp sets for May. They are gorgeous. For today's card, I used the Nasturtium #2 stamp set [00-783P5]. Here is the card that I made with this beautiful stamp set.
I stamped out the Nasturtium panel on white cardstock, and colored it with Copic markers. I also stamped a second image, and colored some of the leaves and flowers on it, the same as I did on the original panel. I fussy cut out those extra flowers and leaves, and then added glitter to everything! I used the Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky] to draw on some glue, and then sprinkled on Luau Green Velvet (microfine) Glitter [GM2004] on the leaves, Exulted Glitter [G1132] on the pink flowers and Energized Glitter [G1133] on the orange flowers. I popped up flowers and leaves with foam tape and adhered them to the full panel. Here is a photo of the panel and all the sparkle from these glitters.
I used Sparkle N Sprinkle's Clear Embossable Acetate [99602] as the card base. This acetate is incredibly versatile and is thick and perfect for a card base. I scored the acetate, and then dry embossed the front panel with a dotted embossing folder. I adhered the front Nasturtium panel onto the card front using 3/4" Double-Sided "Tear-ific" Tape [SAT05]. I also cut a cardstock panel the same shape and size and adhered it to the inside of the front card panel. This both hid the adhesive (since acetate is see through), and covered up the backside of the copic colored image.
Here is the inside of the card. I stamped out the incredible sentiment and trimmed around it. I then layered that onto a larger piece of white cardstock. Then, I edged the sentiment panel with 1/8" Double-sided "Tear-ific" Tape [SAT02] and then burnished in some Jasper Blue Velvet (microfine) Glitter [GM2012] with my finger tool. This framed the sentiment and made it pop!

Here is a closeup of the glitter trim around the sentiment panel. I also backed the panel on the backside of the card to help cover up the adhesive that can be seen through the acetate.

This stamp set is gorgeous, and the Nasturtiums are beautiful, and these sentiments are really sweet. I know you will love it!
Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

#1 Dad Sparkle N Sprinkle Card [05.18.2016]

Here is another card I made for Sparkle N Sprinkle, using one of the new May 2016 Reveal stamps. I used the digi version of the Summer Grilling #1 Stamp Set [DIGI780j].

I pulled up several of the digital images from the stamp set on my computer, sized them to what I wanted, and printed them out onto Copic friendly white cardstock. I colored the images, and fussy cut more of them out. I used a label die to cut around the "#1 Dad" sentiment, and die cut out a larger label size for the background frame, and also dry embossed the background with a woodgrain embossing folder. I also blended distress inks onto the woodgrain embossed frame to give a bit of a wood grain look.

The "#1 Dad" sentiment has some wood grain within the font, so i didn't have to do much coloring - but I did add in some brown to help it match the overall theme. Then, I used the Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky] and drew on some glue lines where I wanted to add some glitter. I sprinkled on some Chameleon Glitter [G1137] onto the "#1 Dad" sentiment.  This Chameleon glitter is so cool! It is exactly like a Chameleon, and changes from a gorgeous bronze to a green ... this photo doesn't quite do it justice, but you can kinda see the two tones that appear within this glitter.
After coloring and fussy cutting the images, I blinged up some of the images too! I used the Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky] to draw on glue over the mustard and pickles on the hot dog. I added Mimosa Sparkle N Soft [SS114] over the mustard, and Glistening Emerald Sparkle N Soft [SS102] over the pickles. This gave a little sparkle and dimension to the condiments!
I did the same to the hamburger, I again used the Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky] to draw on glue over the cheese slices and pickles on the hamburger. I added Mimosa Sparkle N Soft [SS114] over the cheese, and Glistening Emerald Sparkle N Soft [SS102] over the pickles.
I also used the new Simply Screens Moroccon Mosaic by Tonic [1049e] die, and cut a screen to use on the edge of the card. These screen dies are beautiful, and it was a nice addition to this masculine card. After adhering it, I added a strip of 1/8" Double-sided "Tear-ific" Tape [SAT02] on the edge, and burnished in some new Enlightened Glitter [G1136] over the tape. This created a sparkly edging to the screens. I love this new glitter! Gorgeous!
And, I also love to do something on the inside of cards, and bring the theme to the inside. I used the awesome Popcessories Die by Stampendous [DCP1003] to create a popup box, and placed another sentiment and more images from the stamp set inside the card. This was really fun! Here is a photo of the popup and another sentiment.
I die cut the gift box popup image, and the hinge. I adhered these inside the card using 3/4" Double-Sided "Tear-ific" Tape [SAT05]. I also cut a scrap of the same colored cardstock to add a strip of cardstock to mount the die cut sentiment to raise it up out of the gift box popup. I adhered the strip to the die cut sentiment, and attached it to the hinge. Then, I attached that to the inside edge of the card, within the popup box. You can kinda see the workings here.
And, to make the sentiment sparkle a bit more, I used more of the Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky] and added in some Aztec Gold Glitter [G1006] over the words. This made everything a bit more fun!
This card was so much fun, and I love this new stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I can't wait to see what you can do with this stamp set too!

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

Orchid Tag [05.16.2016]

I made a giftie for a friend, and created this tag to go with it. I used Alt E New's Oriental Orchid stamp set, which is a layering stamp set. Here is the tag.
This stamp set is really fun and it is designed really well and makes layering the orchid pretty easy. I stamped out the orchids and stems. I pulled out the Halftone Happy set for the sentiment. Here is another view of this sweet little tag.
This was the perfect tag for the gift. I hope you enjoyed it!

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

Nasturtium Love Card [05.11.2016]

Have I told you how much flowers make me happy?!? They do! So, I LOOOOVE these new Nasturtium stamps that are in this month's reveal from Sparkle N Sprinkle! Here is a card that I made with the new Nasturtium #2 stamp set. I used the digi version [DIGI783b] and was able to size the flower image. I I made it pretty big, and put three side by side and then printed it out onto Copic friendly paper. Here is my card:
After printing out the Nasturtium panel and cutting it, I colored the panels with Copic markers. I also printed out the sentiment after enlarging it. I die cut the sentiment with a heart die, and framed it with black cardstock. After die cutting the sentiment heart, I ink blended some pink distress ink while the heart shape was still inside the die. This masks the edges of the die and keeps them white while the center of the die is lightly inked. I also layered some 3/4" Double-sided "Tear-ific" Tape [SAT05] over white cardstock, then die cut with the smallest heart die. I pulled away the reveal paper over the tape, and burnished in some Raspberry Soda Semi-Transparent Glitter [G1052] with my finger tool.

After coloring the background Nasturtium strips, I used my Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky] to draw some lines on the leaves and flowers, including the center piece of the flowers. I drew on the glue lines for the leaves, and dusted on some Easy Green Semi-Transparent Glitter [G1077]. After all the leaves were done, I repeated this for pink Nasturtiums using Bubble Gum Semi-Transparent Glitter [G1088], and added Evening Glow Semi-Transparent Glitter [G1086] to the centers of the Nasturtiums.

Once I colored and glittered the three Nasturtium panels, I still felt like I needed more texture on the card. The Simply Screens-Moroccon Mosaic die by Tonic [1049e] came to the rescue! I cut one of the Moroccon Mosaic dies from cardstock. While I liked the white against the background, I wanted to tarnish it a little bit. I pulled out my Versamark Ink Pad [VM-001] and dabbed it around on the die cut cardstock. I dusted on some Dragon Fruit Embossing Powder [EP410] sporadically, without covering the entire die, and heat set it. This gave a hint of the color, without being too bold.

Here is a close up of the Nasturtiums and leaves with glitters. They were so pretty in real life! These photos don't quite show how awesome and sparkly it is.

Here is a photo of the card edge, and the glitter in the leaves.

This stamp set is gorgeous, and the two sentiments are wonderful! I used one of them here, and it was just perfect. You definitely need to check out this stamp set. I can't wait to see what you make with it!

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!
