The Big Day 749 stamp set has so many great planner and calendar items, and I thought it would be fun to use the fun words and images in an invitation to show how versatile this stamp set is! Here is my card invitation:
I stamped out the Big Day 749 images I wanted on Versamark Ink Pad VM-001, and sprinkled on all sorts of embossing powders. For the "party" stamp, I used Daffodil Embossing Powder EP217. I used Moss Embossing Powder EP418 for the "birthday" stamp.

I covered the edges of a cardstock panel with 1/2" Double sided "Tear-ific" tape SAT04, and then die cut the panel with a scalloped rectangle die. I covered the edges with Tyrian Glitter G1089, which is one of my favorite colors! It is gorgeous :)

Here is another shot of the other imaged I stamped out for this invitation. I did the "date night" stamp in Red Apple Embossing Powder EP276. I did the "travel" stamp in Mediterranean Embossing Powder EP417

I used all four of the embossing powders on the "big day" stamp. I thought it was fun to combine all four colors into a bit of a rainbow. Check it out:

I also used the awesome Flourishes One Stamp Set 516 and colored inks to decorate the background of my card panel. I love these flourishes and how much fun they are!

The next stop on our blog hop is Shona. Check out the incredible project Shona did!

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

Chris

  2. I love how you turned these stamps into a MADLIB kind of structure. It's kind of like using song names to finish your sentences. Very creative and clever.

  4. This is fun! It kind of reminds me of like a ransom note where they cut out bits and pieces from magazines and stuff. But in a good way :):)
