Sparkle N Sprinkle Sophie Pup Canada Day card [06.25.2018]

Canada Day is coming up, and today we celebrate! I used Sparkle N Sprinkle's new Sophie Pup June release stamp set to make this fun card to celebrate Canada Day. Let's check it out!

Supply List:
Sparkle N Sprinkle Sophie Pup - Canada Day stamp set [00-900P8]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Clear Detail embossing powder [EP280]
Sparkle N Sprinkle White Detail embossing powder [EP298]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Collegiate Garnet glitter [G1114]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Sonic Silver glitter [GM2002]
Anti Static Bag [99512]
Versafine Onyx Black ink [VF-82]
Versamark Ink [VM-001]
Nuvo Raspberry Rhodolite Glimmer Paste [964N]
Nuvo Tropical Fruits Diamond Hybrid Ink Pads [80N]
Nuvo Sea Siren Diamond Hybrid Ink Pads [81N]
Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen [206N]
Tonic ATC Hello Die [1731e]
Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707e]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic Mixed Edge Rectangle Layering Basics Die Set [1457e]
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]

I live close to the United States - Canadian border and having this stamp set to help celebrate Canada Day is perfect! I love it! I stamped out the Sophie Pup holding her Canadian flag with Versafine Black Onyx ink in my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform onto cardstock I had treated with my Anti Static Bag. I sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it. Then, I colored the image using Copic markers. I die cut the image with the Artist Trading Card Hello die set and my Tonic Tangerine machine. Then, I plopped a smear of Raspberry Rhodolite glimmer paste onto my Easy Clean Craft Mat, and then brushed the Raspberry Rhodolite glimmer paste onto the red parts of the Canadian flag. This glimmer paste was the perfect shade and sparkle for the Canadian flag!

I also stamped out the Happy Canada Day! sentiment. I treated some black cardstock with my Anti Static Bag, then stamped out the sentiment with Versamark ink. I sprinkled on White Detail embossing powder and heat set it. I trimmed the cardstock and cut it into a fishtail banner.

To build the card, I masked over the stamped image, and then ink blended the ground using Lime Burst from the Tropical Fruits Diamond Hybrid Ink Pads set. I also used the Polar Ice from the Sea Siren Diamond Hybrid Ink Pads set for the sky. I removed the mask after doing the background ink blending. I also stamped the image with a red ink onto white cardstock to create a patterned image. I die cut the stamped cardstock with the Tonic Mixed Edge Rectangle Layering Basics Die Set die. I matted the layers with black cardstock and layered them onto a card base. I rolled some Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen onto the edge of the black mat, and sprinkled on some Collegiate Garnet glitter to complete the card.

This card will help me celebrate Canada Day and it is a lot of fun. I think you will love it and make some really fun cards too! I can't wait to see what you make. Cardz 4 Galz #74 Challenge: Sunny Summer Days card [06.21.2018]

Hi! Here is my card for the current Cardz 4 Galz Challenge: #74 Sunny Summer Days. Nothing says Sunny Summer Days more than tropical flowers and flamingos! And, sadly, today is my last card for Cardz 4 Galz, as I am stepping down from this design team. If you are interested in applying for the Design Team, check out the Cardz 4 Galz site to find out more info. It is an amazing team and the team is so great to work with! Give it a try! Back to my card ... It was a different one for me. There was very little stamping and die cutting. I know, a shock, right!?! I used some paper from the Heartfelt Creations Tropical Collection and I stamped out and die cut the plumeria flowers. Let's check out the card!

Supply List:
Heartfelt Creations Tropical Plumeria stamp set
Heartfelt Creations Tropical Plumeria die set
Heartfelt Creations Tropical Paradise Collection paper
Heartfelt Creations Large Sweet Peony stamp set
Heartfelt Creations Large Sweet Peony die set
Art glitter
distress ink
Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707e]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]

I started by stamping out the Tropical Plumeria stamp set, using my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I stamped the flowers in a pink ink. Then, I die cut them with my matching dies. I colored them with distress inks, and then shaped the flowers according to the directions. I adhered them together with hot glue and then squeezed on some Dries Clear glue into the center of the flowers and sprinkled in some art glitter (chunky glitter with beads and other fun things) to give the center of the flowers something a little extra. I also stamped out the leaves from the Large Sweet Peony stamp set and die cut them with the matching dies. I used green ink over green cardstock, and then added some additional distress ink to give the leaves some depth.

I used some paper from the Tropical Paradise Collection for both the front of the card and the inside. The photos above show the front of the card. I cut several of the papers from the collection to make panels that I layered together over a pink cardstock card base. I also cut a piece of coordinating paper for the inside of the card, which is below.

I had a lot of fun with this card - very much outside of my comfort zone since I didn't stamp and color the main images. But, this ended up being really fun and I love how it turned out. I love these tropical plumeria stamp set and dies, and can't wait to play with them again! I need to practice more with my plumeria shaping, but those flowers are so gorgeous, I can't really do them wrong! I look forward to lots more attempts! I can't wait to see what you will create and post in the Cardz 4 Galz Sunny Summer Days challenge!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle My Wild Rose gate-fold card [06.18.2018]

Hi! Today's card is a June reveal card from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I used the digital version of the My Wild Rose new stamp set. Check out the card I made, which can showcase versatile uses of the digital stamp set!

Supply List:
Sparkle N Sprinkle My Wild Rose digital stamp set [DIGI898BC]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Gecko glitter [GM2045]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Margarita glitter [GM2032]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Butterscotch glitter [GM2051]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Peach Bellini glitter [G1140]
Sparkle N Sprinkle 2-1/2" Tear-ific Tape [SAT15]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Glitter Brush [SG1400]
Tonic Mixed Edge Rectangle Layering Basics Die Set [1457e]
Tonic Jasmine Sunset Layering Die Collection [1110e]
Nuvo Custard Cream Embellishment Mousse [827N]
Nuvo Yellow Bird Glitter Drops [769N]
Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen [206N]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]

I used the digital image, and sized the sentiment to how I wanted it on my computer. Then, I printed it out onto white cardstock. Then, I die cut the sentiment panel with a Tonic Jasmine Sunset Layering die, using my Tonic Tangerine (AWESOME!). This die cuts these really cool little flower spaces. I laid some 2-1/2" Tear-ific Tape behind the die cut and trimmed it to fit. I burnished in Gecko glitter. Such a gorgeous glitter! I also squeezed on some Yellow Bird glitter drops under the sentiment.

I created this card to be a bit of a gatefold card. I added multiple flowers from My Wild Rose and layered them up to create a rose panel. I copied it and reversed it to create a second mirror image. I printed it out using my color printer, then fussy cut around the edges. I scored and adhered the flaps behind my card panel. I also die cut another piece of cardstock using Tonic's Mixed Edge Rectangle Layering Basic Die Set. I swiped some (beautiful!) Custard Cream Embellishment Mousse from Tonic. This dried really quickly. As soon as it was dry, I adhered it onto the black card base, and then adhered the panel and gatefold panel onto the yellow rectangle.

And, of course, I blinged up the roses! I rolled out some Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen onto strategic rose areas and the leaves. I colored the leaves with Margarita glitter, and the roses with both Butterscotch and Peach Bellini glitters.

This was a really fun card to make, and those Wild Roses make me so happy. What an amazing stamp set! I can't wait to see what you create - and you can post your creations in our Creative Challenge on Facebook. The June Challenge is open until June 25. All you have to do is use a Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set! Check it out!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Colorful Cosmos Blooms Card with Masking [06.13.2018]

Hello! Sparkle N Sprinkle has the most amazing stamp sets for their June reveal ... and I made a Cosmos flower garden with the Colorful Cosmos stamp set. Let's check it out!

Supply List:
Sparkle N Sprinkle products:
Colorful Cosmos Bloom stamp set [00-889P5]
Clear Detail embossing powder [EP280]
Autumn Frost glitter [GM2031]
Caspia Sea glitter [GM2048]
Pink Fizz glitter [GM2050]
Butterscotch glitter [GM2051]
Tangerine glitter [GM2043]
Gecko glitter [GM2045]
Cloud Nine glitter [GM2000]
Other products:
Versafine Onyx Black ink [VF-82]
Anti Static Bag [99512]
Glitter Brush [SG1400]
Tonic Pink Chiffon Mirror Card Satin Effect [9483E]
Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707e]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]
Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen [206N]
Metallic watercolors
Labels and Frames dies

I had a lot of fun with this stamp set! I used some metallic watercolors in my stash to color some watercolor paper a shimmery pink. Then, I stamped out the sentiment onto watercolor paper. I treated the paper with my Anti Static Bag, and inserted it into my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I inked up my stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink, and stamped it onto the watercolor cardstock. I inked and stamped again to make sure I got a solid impression. Then, I removed the paper, sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it. I die cut the sentiment using a label die from my stash. Then, I fussy cut a border from black cardstock and layered the sentiment label over the border cardstock. I swiped the outer edge with my Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen and then sprinkled on some Cloud Nine glitter. As I finished adding all the layers to my card, I squeezed on some Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops. You can see all the embossing powder, glitter and drops below.

I created a Colorful Cosmos Garden by masking off the image (more on that below). I used my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform for the masked stamping, and also stamped out the Cosmoses with Versafine Onyx Black ink, which is a waterproof ink. After I had everything stamped out, I used metallic watercolor paints from my stash to color in the Cosmos blooms and the background. When I was done with all my coloring, I used a frame die to cut the teeny thin frame from the image. I also die cut the frame again with Tonic Pink Chiffon Mirror Card Satin Effect, and then pieced all the pieces back together and substituted the pink mirror card for that inner frame I had die cut out. After I pieced it all back together, I rolled out some Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen onto the flower petals and sprinkled on glitters. I used: Autumn Frost, Caspia Sea, Pink Fizz, Butterscotch, Tangerine, and Gecko glitters to embellish the Cosmos blooms. You can see all that amazing sparkle below.

The photo below shows how I created and used the mask to make the Cosmos garden. I placed the stamp inside the Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, aligned my watercolor cardstock (I normally line up my paper in the bottom corner but because to "hang" the bottom of the stamp image off the bottom edge of the card, I had to move my cardstock higher up on the stamp platform) inside the Stamp Platform. I shut the door, picked up the stamp onto the lid, and inked up the stamp, and stamped it onto the paper. Then, I stamped again onto a post it note and then fussy cut out the post it (see it below, the blue image). I layered the post it over the Cosmos Bloom I had just stamped, cleaned off the stamp, and layered it where I wanted the next batch of flowers to stamp. I repeated this process (stamping the image onto the cardstock, moving the mask to cover what I just stamped, cleaning the stamp, positioning the stamp where I wanted it next - which overlaid part of the previous stamp, or butted up against it, and inked and stamped again) until I had the full row of Cosmos Blooms for my garden. Masking is a great way to use the same stamp to make a larger image.

This Cosmos Blooms garden was fun to make. I love floral stamps, and this was also really fun to color. I enjoyed pulling out the watercolors and going to town. I can't wait to see what you create and post in our Sparkle N Sprinkle Challenge. The current challenges run until June 25 so you have time to enter your creation and possibly win some Sparkle N Sprinkle cash!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Cardz 4 Galz Pretty & Pearly Challenge #73 Unicorn Card [06.07.2018]

Hi! So glad you are here!! My card today is for the Cardz 4 Galz Challenge #73: Pretty and Pearly. So, what is more pretty than a pearly unicorn?!? Let's peek at my card below!

Supply List:
Concord & 9th Unicorn Awesomeness stamp set
Sparkle N Sprinkle Silver Lightning embossing powder [EP262]
Sparkle N Sprinkle White Detail embossing powder [EP298]
Versamark ink [VM-001]
Anti Static Bag [99512]
Nuvo Custard Cream Embellishment Mousse [827N]
Nuvo Peony Pink Embellishment Mousse [800N]
Nuvo Aquamarine Embellishment Mousse [807N]
Nuvo Pure Platinum Embellishment Mousse [803N]
Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707e]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic Die Layering Basics Die Set Mixed Edge Oval [1456e]
Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders die
Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes collection pack
Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes petite pack
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]
Pearls
Copics

I started out by stamping the unicorn with Versamark ink, onto a piece of cardstock I had treated with my Anti Static Bag. I used the Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp the unicorn. I sprinkled on Silver Lightning embossing powder and heat set it. Then, I used paint brushes to brush on the embellishment mousse. I store my mousses in individual zip-close baggies to help keep them from drying out, but if they are too dry, I just mist them with my water mister and this is all I need to do to get them to the consistency I needed to paint the unicorn. When I was done painting the unicorn, I used my Tonic Tangerine die cutting machine and the Tonic Mixed Edge Oval dies to cut out the unicorn and a pearly paper to mat behind it. I also cut out a square from a 12x12 sheet of Lawn Fawn's Watercolor Wishes collection pack paper for the background. And, then I die cut out some of Lawn Fawn's Watercolor Wishes petite paper pack and the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders die to make the grass area. I adhered the grass border to the base of the card, and then layered the unicorn oval using foam dimensionals. Then, I started decorating with pearls! I pulled a bunch of pearls from my stash and had a lot of different sizes. I placed the pearls inside the unicorn body and also created a hint of a rainbow with pearls in the upper right corner. In this photo below, you can see all the fun pearls in the body and the sparkly Silver Lightning embossing powder!

I used my Copic markers to color white cardstock in coordinating colors, and then stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and sprinkled on White Detail embossing powder. I heat set it, and then die cut it with the Tonic Tangerine and the Tonic Mixed Edge Oval dies. I adhered a ring of pearls around the sentiment and adhered it using foam dimensionals to the card front.

This was a really fun card to make! I love how the different pearl sizes worked so well on the unicorn, and this was the first time I have painted with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse. It worked great! I will definitely be doing this again. I can't wait to see what you create and put in our Cardz 4 Galz challenge. Good luck!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Big Day Calendar Page [06.01.2018]

I am totally into BuJos (Bullet Journals) ... so I created a page using a recent Sparkle N Sprinkle collection of digital paper. I used the Floral Surprise Papers digis. There are a lot of great floral prints. I chose this blue one and sized it using my computer to the size I needed. I then created the calendar dates by creating a rounded-corner rectangle. I typed in the calendar day, and repeated for all the days of the week. I created two other sections too, one for Notes and one for Menus. I printed this out, and then trimmed it with my Tonic Guillitone. Here is the page I created!

Supply List:
Sparkle N Sprinkle Floral Surprise Papers [DIGI4006)
Sparkle N Sprinkle Big Day stamp set [00-749P5]
Sparkle N Sprinkle Clear Detail embossing powder [EP280]
Versamark ink [VM-001]
Anti Static Bag [99512]
Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform [1707e]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]

After I printed out the page, I used my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp the different activities and events from the Big Day stamp set. I stamped them with Versamark Ink onto the calendar days to mark those activities that I have planned on each day. I used colored ink, and then over-stamped again with Versamark Ink and sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it. This gave all the stamped images a little extra shine and dimension!

Here is another image of the week and all the fun Big Day stamp activities we have going on this week.

Be sure to leave a comment both here and at the SNS blog post and leave a comment there as well for your chance to win a $20 gift card to SNS!
