Orca Graduation Card (07/04/2015)

Another graduation card ... 'Tis the season! Our friend graduated from college, and the school mascot is an Orca. So, I repurposed the dolphin from Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Sea and made a card. Let's look, shall we:

I stamped out the orca/dolphin with Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black pigment ink, and heat embossed it with Sparkle N Sprinkle's Clear Detail Embossing Powder (EP 280). I colored in the orca with Copic markers, and then covered it with Black Ice Opaque (G1020) glitter, and Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft (SS107) for the black and white areas. I also stamped out and embossed the mortar board using Lawn Fawn's Hats Off to You and matching dies. I colored it with markers, before using Brushable Glue (540) to adhere Collegiate Garnet (G1114) glitter. put that mortarboard on that orca too. So cute!
.
I also used Lawn Fawn's new Ocean Wave Borders dies to make the waves. I used Sparkle N Sprinkle's Tear-ific Tape and covered some white cardstock with it. I die cut out the waves and also the waves and background with Lawn Fawn's new Large Stitched Oval Stackables dies. I used three different Sparkle N Sprinkle glitters on the waves: Blue Lightning (G1008), Princess Anna Royal, and Princess Elsa Frozen glitters from the Frozen Glitters (G1125) collection.
Here is another angle of the waves, orca and mortarboard. I took this photo in the direct sunlight, which really helps highlight the sparkly glitter!
And, more shots of the sparkly glitter!
I blended on some Distress Inks over the wave border dies to add in some background texture of waves on the inside of the card. I also used Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black pigment ink, and Clear Detail Embossing Powder (EP 280) to stamp out the sentiment using Lawn Fawn's Hats Off to You.
Here is a close up of the sentiment as well.
I am so proud of our friend, and am thrilled for her college graduation! Congratulations!

Thanks for stopping by, have a magical day!

Chris
