And now, back to my project. I used the new Emily Showers of Love stamp set (squeal! so gorgeous, so cute, so sweet, so wonderful!). Here is my card.

I stamped out Emily and colored her with markers. I wanted to give her some extra sparkle. I pulled out my Nuvo Glue Pen Fine and rolled out adhesive in specific spots. I added Luau Green glitter to her eyes, Orchid Rose glitter to the dropping hearts, and Cloud Nine glitter to the heart rain drops. I also added some Olaf White glitter to her dress.

I stamped out the sentiment, using Versamark Ink Pad, sprinkled on White Detail embossing powder, and heat set it. I die cut it out into a rectangle, and then rolled on some Nuvo Glue Pen Fine along the edge and sprinkled on Princess Anna Fuschia glitter.

I used some patterned papers for this card. One of the papers had sweet little butterflies. I fussy cut them out, coated them with Versamark Ink and then covered them with Sparkle embossing powder. I heat set them, and shaped them to give their wings a little dimension. I also framed the main image by adhering a strip of 1/8" Double sided "Tear-ific" Tape along the edge of cardstock, removed the release paper, and burnished in Pretty Princess glitter with my finger tool. I layered this behind my image and it gave it a nice border and some more sparkle. Always what I am going for!

I also decorated up the patterned paper in the background. I again used my Nuvo Glue Pen Fine and sprinkled on more Cloud Nine glitter. This is pretty subtle and kinda hard to see in this photo, but it is more sparkly in real life.

Here is another photo of Emily and all her glittery goodness. I love this stamp set and swoon whenever I see her. She has a very versatile set of sentiments, and this set can be used for multiple occasions. I know you will love it!

Keep the blog hop going! Your next stop will be Eret. She will have an amazing project for you to see. Make sure you comment below, and on all the stops on the hop, to be eligible to win the stamp sets.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Spring Bunny {12.28.2016}

I am bringing you a card today showcasing the Spring Bunny stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle, which is absolutely gorgeous! It is one of their new releases for December. Let's check it out.
I stamped the bunny on white cardstock with black ink, then sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and heat embossed it. I colored the bunny, eggs, and flowers with Copic markers. Then, I started adding SPARKLE! I rolled out some Nuvo Glue Pen Fine onto the images, and sprinkled on glitter. I added Cloud Nine glitter to the eggs, Bubble Gum glitter to the pink flowers, and Orchid glitter to the purple flowers. The Cloud Nine glitter was perfect for the eggs - even though they are different colors, the Cloud Nine glitter made the eggs really sparkly and still allowed the colors to come through. The eggs look great, don't you think?

Here is a closeup of some of the flowers and egg here. The glitters made these really pretty!

I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Ink Pad, and then sprinkled on White Detail embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool.

I layered the card over some die cut shapes and added on some Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops along the outer edge for extra pizazz.

This Spring Bunny stamp set is so adorable and I really had fun making this card. It makes me really happy to see this bunny. I know you will love this set!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Wishing Ewe a Wonderful Day {12.21.2016}

I know, I know, a little early for Valentine's day ... but this new Will Ewe Be Mine stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle is great for Valentine's Day AND as an all-around stamp set. Let's check out the card I made using this new Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set for SNS's December release.

I stamped out the image onto white cardstock and die cut it into a circle shape. I lightly colored the sheep with Copic markers, and added some distress ink to the background for a sky. Then, I whipped out my favorite roller adhesive, the Nuvo Glue Pen Fine, and applied glue to the sheep's curls. I sprinkled on Surf glitter, and viola! I had cute sheep! I also applied Bubble Gum glitter to their eye lids. I applied glue to half of each heart, and sprinkled on Gypsy Red glitter. This made the hearts sparkle even more! I also drew along the string lines of the image with the glue pen, and applied Black Ice glitter to the string. I also applied Sonic Silver glitter to the sheeps' hooves.

I also created another die cut circle to frame the sheep circle. I measured out a scalloped die cut on cardstock, and then applied 1/2" Double sided "Tear-ific" Tape along the edges. Then, I die cut the scalloped circle and peeled off the release paper, and burnished in more Gypsy Red glitter with my finger tool. I layered this behind the sheep circle for more dimension. I also stamped out the sentiment on a piece of black cardstock, using Versamark Ink Pad, and then sprinkled on Silver Lightning embossing powder and heat set it. I trimmed it into a banner and adhered it at the base of the sheep.

Here is another photo of those cute sheet and their cute hooves! I love the red, pink, and gray together! I finished off the card with some die cut shapes. Layered it all up, and had a really fun card that can be a Valentine's Day type card, or a pick-me-up for anytime. The sentiments on this stamp set are very versatile and can fit a lot of occasions.

I know you will find many wonderful ways to use this stamp set. You will love it!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Build a Wreath {12.14.2016}

Today's card makes me so happy!! I used the new Build a Wreath digi stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Let's check it out.
I sized the wreath I wanted (there are four wreath options in this incredible digi stamp set) and chose one of the many sentiments and sized it to go inside the wreath. That is one of the benefits of a digi stamp set, you can really manipulate them to any size you want! I also sized some of the cherry blossoms, leaves, and the bow, then printed them out twice. I fussy cut out the blossoms, leaves, and bow, and partial die cut out the wreath with a circle die, leaving the bow tails uncut. I fussy cut around the bow tails sticking out of the edge of the circle that was die cut, and fussy cut out other bow pieces to add dimension. Once I had everything cut out, I rolled on some Nuvo Glue Pen Large adhesive to the bow pieces, and sprinkled on some Collegiate Garnet glitter. I layered up the bow pieces with dimensional tape to give dimension. Here is a close up of the bow. Look how beautiful that Collegiate Garnet glitter is! Be still my heart!!
For my background, I ran some pink cardstock through my Cuttlebug in a leaf embossing folder. I then lightly swept my Versamark Ink Pad over the raised portions of the cardstock, and sprinkled on some Pink Lady embossing powder, and heat set it. This gave the background additional texture, dimension, and some extra sparkle and pizazz :)
I adhered blossoms to the wreath, and added more dimension by adding foam dimensionals. I rolled on some Nuvo Glue Pen Fine adhesive to the wreath, flowers, and leaves, and sprinkled on two colors on the wreath: Peruvian Lily, and Rose Gold. I also added on Bubble Gum to the blossoms and Luau Green to the leaves. Here is a photo showing the wreath, cherry blossoms, and leaves.
Here is another shot of the card that shows some of the dimension. I have a thing for pink and for cherry blossoms, so this Build a Wreath digi stamp set was the perfect set to use for a pink fix! I love how versatile it is and how much you can do with it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a magical day!

Here is my card that I made with the Light Up My Life stamp set. I am old enough to remember the song from the 70s about You Light Up My Life ... and when I saw this stamp set, I could hear the song in my mind, and I wanted to LIGHT UP these lights! Let's check out the card!
I stamped out the image in black pigment ink, then sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and then heat set it. I also stamped out the sentiment the same way below the light image.

I colored the lights and background. to make them even more sparkly, I applied adhesive with my Fine Nuvo Glue Pen, and sprinkled on Evening Glow glitter to the light bulb elements, and Sonic Silver glitter to the light bulb base.

I wanted to highlight the "You" in the sentiment. I stamped out the sentiment a second time on red cardstock, using Versamark Ink Pad. I sprinkled on White Detail embossing powder and heat set it. Then, I die cut it with a heart die. I layered it over the sentiment below and lined it up to match the sentiment below. I layered the card panel over Gold Mirror Cardstock to make it even more gold and fun.

And, the final part of the card, which made it really fun to make and looks even cooler in person .... is that it LIGHTS UP! Check this out!

To make it light up, I adhered copper wire tape to my card base, and attached Chibitronic mini lights. Here is a photo of what the copper wiring looked like and the battery to power the card lights.

Here is a photo of what it looks like with the lights lit up. I designed the card to light up when I pushed on the battery, which is conveniently under the "You" heart of the sentiment!

This card was tons of fun, and I love how it lights up. This Light Up My Life set is really creative and fun.

The next stop on our blog hop is Shona... She has an incredible card in store for you, I know you will LOVE it!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Blue Jay Card [11.30.2016]

Here is another card using one of Sparkle N Sprinkle's new releases for November. My fellow SNS designers have created the most amazing cards and projects this month and they are all so beautiful and inspirational! They inspire and motivate me every day! For today's card, I stepped outside of my comfort zone and created a watercolored background and stamped over it. Let's peek at the card.
To start, I spritzed on two Nuance Powders, in Turquoise and Royal Blue colors. Then, I spritzed on some water which made the powders change to color and it was so cool! Very colorful! Then, I dried it with  my heat tool, and then I stamped the Winter Blue Jay stamp the bird in black ink over the colored background. I sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it. After this, I used my Fine Nuvo Glue Pen and then adhered glitter strategically over the bird. I used Jasper Blue, Denim, Surf glitters.
For the sentiment, I stamped out the sentiment in black ink and again used Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it, over more of the watercolored background. I die cut out the sentiment and framed it with a larger die cut.
Another thing I did was to do an inlaid die cut / distressed edge around the bird. I die cut out the bird with a frame die, and then used an embossing folded to give some wood grain texture to the outer part of the card panel. I swiped my Versamark Ink Pad along the other edges of the bird frame die and the inside edge of the outer piece of cardstock. I sprinkled on Sky Blue Spark embossing powder and heat set it. You can see the embossing powder here.
I also decorated up the tree that the bird is sitting on. I used my Fine Nuvo Glue Pen to add adhesive to the tree, and sprinkled on Rose Gold and Lator Gator to brighten up the tree. I love it!
This Winter Blue Jay stamp set is gorgeous! I am in awe of all the cards that the SNS designers made this month using it. If you haven't yet, go through this month's Sparkle N Sprinkle blog posts and check out this gorgeous stamp used in multiple ways. You will be inspired!

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a magical day!-Chris

Ballooney Birthday! [11.28.2016]

Hi! Today's card is a birthday card I made for a good friend. Let's say howdy!

I used Lawn Fawn's Party Animal stamp set, and stamped out the balloons and overlapped them. I added some Wink of Stella to the balloons, then covered with Glossy Accents. They were really sparkly!

I also stamped out the fox. I colored him with Copic markers, and stamped out the party hat and present from the set too. I die cut them out using Lawn Fawn's Party Animal Lawn Cuts die cuts. I also covered the hat and present with Glossy Accents to make it have some dimension and give it some shine. Once I had the images stamped and colored, I masked them off with postit note paper, and splattered some ink to the card front too to give it more of a festive feel!

I also stamped some images to the inside. I stamped the confetti and the happy birthday sentiment.

Fun, easy, cute birthday card. I hope my friend likes it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Candy Box [11.25.2016]

Hi! Today's project is not a card ... it is a box to hold some candy :) Let's meet it!

I used Sparkle N Sprinkle's Crystal Carousel Box die and cut it out with patterned paper. I also die cut out the inserts on each panel with other patterned paper and layered it up. Here is another shot of the box showing the side panels.

Here is the box after I put it all together, but not quite closed yet. It was easy to close, but it took me a few tries to make sure I got the tabs in the right order. It sure was fun to put together!

Here is the inside of the box with the candy that I put inside it.

This was a fun and easy gift box to pull together. I can't wait to make another box with this die!.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle Christmas Tag #2 [11.23.2016]

Hi! Okay, so I really like Sparkle N Sprinkle's November release stamps, and today's card uses the incredible Christmas Tag #2 stamp set. Let's check it out.
I stamped out the snowman tag in black ink, then sprinkled Clear Detail embossing powder over it, and heat set it. I colored the image with water colors, and then die cut out the tag into a circle. Then, I began working on the card front. I scraplifted an idea from Demo Donna. (She makes incredible creations!) Demo Donna's video for the October Video Kit Club demonstrates how to make a background using the Nuvo Glue Pen Large and Gilding Flakes. I followed her lead, and I swiped the Nuvo Glue Pen Large over the snowflake tag in the Christmas Tag #2 stamp set. I stamped out the image repeatedly along the edges of the gate fold card front and let the glue dry until it was tacky. Then, I dumped on the Silver Bullion Nuvo Gilding Flakes, and rubbed in the flakes into the tacky glue. I burnished it in, then brushed off the left over flakes. This made a really fun pattern on my card front. Here is what it looked like.
I also die cut out a scalloped circle, and repeated the same process. I swiped the Nuvo Glue Pen Large over the scalloped edge and let it dry. Once it was tacky, I dumped on the Silver Bullion Nuvo Gilding Flakes, and rubbed in the flakes into the tacky glue. I burnished it in, then brushed off the left over flakes. I used this to mat the shaker circle, and I also did the same process on the top circle of the shaker.
To make the shaker, I started creating more circle "frames" by die cutting paper using two circle dies taped together and cut about 10 of them so I could stack them up to create dimension for the shaker components. I also die cut two circles in Embossable Clear Acetate. I stacked and adhered about five of the circles into a stack, and adhered it over the snowman circle tag. I then added in clear star sequins and adhered one of the acetate circles over it. Then, adhered and stacked the rest of the circle frames. I added in purple beads and sealed it shut with the second piece of acetate. Then, to finish it off, adhered the silver embossed circle on top. You can see in the photo below the two different layers of the shaker sequins and beads. I also stamped out the "to" and "from" sentiments using Versamark Ink Pad, and heat embossed Sonic Silver embossing powder. I fussy cut them out and adhered these to the acetate part of the shaker.
This was really fun to make. I like the looks of the double shaker and think I will try it again! I hope you enjoyed it and will try Demo Donna's background stamp gilding flake technique. Thanks Demo Donna for the inspiration!!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!
