Sparkle N Sprinkle Cherished Moments Bride [01.31.2018]

Hello from Designer Chris! One of Sparkle N Sprinkle's January reveal stamps is this Cherished Moments - Bride stamp set. This sweet bride is so pretty and I tried to highlight her for this project. Let's check it out.

Supply List:
Cherished Moments - Bride stamp set [00-875P5]
Crackle Background stamp [00-609P5]
Honey Bees stamp set [00-775P5]
Tonic Ornate Frame Layering Die Collection [1111e]
Purple Fig glitter [GM2047]
Caspia Sea glitter [GM2048]
Shamrock glitter [GM2041]
Bridal glitter [G1029]
 Clear Detail embossing powder [EP280]
Royal Purple embossing powder [EP275]
Spring Willow embossing powder [EP388]
Super Thick Silver embossing powder [EP467]
Versafine ink [VF-82]
Versamark ink [VM-001]
Anti Static Bag [99512]
Memento Tuxedo Black ink [ME-900]
Nuvo Royal Aubergine Embellishment Mousse [821N]
Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste [953N]
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive [200N]
Sakura Glue Pen [Quicky]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]
Copic markers

I stamped out the bride in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink with my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and then colored her with Copic markers. I placed the image back inside my Stamp Platform and inked up the stamp again with Versafine Black Onyx ink and restamped the image exactly over the original image. (Copic markers can smear Versafine Black Onyx ink so if I plan to use Copic markers, I stamp the image first with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then overstamp with Versafine after coloring. Versafine ink is tacky enough, even though it isn't officially a pigment ink, to hold embossing powder.) I sprinkled on Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it. I used my Sakura Glue Pen and rolled on glue to strategic spots and added glitter! I added Purple Fig glitter to her flowers, Caspia Sea on her eyes and earrings, and Shamrock on the leaves. I also added some Bridal glitter to her veil.

I also sprinkled on some Super Thick Silver embossing powder in strategic spots and heat set them. This gave some extra texture and shine to the project.

I colored the flowers, brushed on some Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive, and then sprinkled on Caspia Sea glitter.

As I was building the layers (more on that below!), I laid a heart stencil over the oval die and smeared on Moonstone Glimmer Paste. You can see the awesome sparkly hearts here!

Okay, on to how I created the layers for this mixed media project. I die cut several different ovals with my Tangerine die cutting machine (WOW, does this machine cut through paper like buttah!). Then, I added texture and colors to each layer. For the largest oval layer, I stamped the Crackle Background stamp in spots, with black ink. I stamped "first generation" and "second generation" images (second generation is stamping the stamp again with out re-inking up the stamp. The second generation stamp will stamp the image in a lighter color.) Then, I scooped a teeny bit of Nuvo Royal Aubergine embellishment mousse into my Mini Mister and added in some water. I shook it up and created my own mister spray in this gorgeous purple color. I spritzed on some purple mist and called it good!

For the second layer, I stamped out the Honey Bees honey comb with Versamark Ink and then sprinkled on Royal Purple embossing powder and heat set it.

Here is a shot of all the three layers and the flowers I added later. I also added some stamped sentiments from the Honey Bees stamp set, and sprinkled on Spring Willow embossing powder and heat set it. This gave some more dimension to this layer.

I also spritzed some white flowers to give them some purple color, with my Royal Aubergine home-made mister spray!

This was really fun to create, and I liked how it came out. This Cherished Moments Bride stamp set is amazing, and it was really fun to color and embellish. I hope you liked it too! Keep your eyes peeled for the February Sparkle N Sprinkle Challenge to appear on our Facebook page. Please check it out and upload your cards and projects using a Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp to the February album! I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Bear and Deer Tags with Box [01.29.2018]

Today's project is a box and two tags that I made for a friend, to present a little giftie inside. I used Lawn Fawn's For You, Deer stamps, matching dies, and bookmark die. Let's check it out!

Supply List:
Lawn Fawn For You, Deer stamp set
Lawn Fawn For You, Deer dies
Lawn Fawn For You, Deer add-ons die
Lawn Fawn Gingham Backdrops stamp set
Lawn Fawn Peppermint lawn trimmings
Sparkle N Sprinkle Golden Sparkle embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle Gold Coast embossing powder
Anti Static Bag
Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Pen
Versafine Black Onyx ink
Versamark ink
Tonic Tangerine machine
Copic markers

I started out by creating my box from red cardstock. I cut cardstock to the size I needed with my Tonic Guillotine. Then, I wiped my cardstock with my Anti Static Bag, and placed the cardstock into my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, and placed the Lawn Fawn Gingham's Backdrops where I wanted it to stamp. I stamped it with Versafine Black Onyx ink to add the plaid lines onto the background. I then sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Gold Coast embossing powder onto the black ink and heat set this. It gave some golden hues to the black plaid. To add more gold, I swiped on lines with the Nuvo Clear Mark embossing pen and then sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Golden Sparkle embossing powder and heat set this. This made some much brighter gold sparkling lines in the plaid! I used the Platform again to stamp out the Lawn Fawn For You, Deer deer and bear "fronts" and "behinds" and then colored them with Copics. I die cut them using my Tonic Tangerine machine (cuts through paper like buttah!). I also die cut the add-ons bookmarks and then stamped the sentiments with Versamark ink and sprinkled on more Golden Sparkle embossing powder and heat set these too. I adhered the fronts and backs together, adhered them to the book mark, and tied on a piece of Lawn Fawn Peppermint lawn trimmings.

Here is a close up of the front of the bear. He is so sweet! I just love this stamp set and am really happy with how these sweet little book marks turned out!

I am also entering this into Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 21: Inspiration Board.

I really like how this turned out. These little book mark add ons are so much for this stamp set and I love the front and back idea. I would love MORE of these stamps!! Nothin' cuter than a little critter hanging over an edge of something :)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Sparkle N Sprinkle See Through Card {01.27.2018}

Hello, Designer Chris here. I created a see-through card with one of Sparkle N Sprinkle's new January reveal stamp sets, and some Tonic Dies. Let's check out the card and the instructions below.

Supply List:
Ornate Greetings stamp set [00-880P5]
Swallowtail Butterflies stamp set [00-856P6]
Roses In My Heart stamp set [00-879P6]
White Detail embossing powder [EP298]
Amethyst embossing powder [EP199]
Spring Willow embossing powder [EP388]
Amour embossing powder [EP314]
Tangerine glitter [GM2043]
Butterscotch glitter [GM2051]
3/4" Tear-ific Tape [SAT05]
Glitter Brush [SG1400]
Clear Embossable Acetate [99602]
Versamark ink [VM-001]
Anti Static Bag [99512]
Tonic Verdi's Waves Flourish die set [1760e]
Tonic Swirling Frame Layering die set [1462e]
Tonic Tangerine machine [138e]
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat [1514e]
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive [200N]
Tim Holtz Distress Inks

I treated a sheet of Clear Embossable Acetate with my Anti Static Bag and placed it into my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I placed two of the Ornate Greetings sentiments onto the acetate, and closed the lid of the platform to pick up the stamps onto the lid part of the platform. Then, I inked up the stamps with Versamark ink and stamped them onto the acetate. I sprinkled on White Detail embossing powder and heat set the sentiments. Then, I turned the acetate over, treated the back with my Anti Static Bag, and stamped two of the butterflies from the Swallowtail Butterflies stamp set. I sprinkled on Spring Willow for one butterfly, and Amethyst embossing powder on the other. I heat set these too. I die cut some black cardstock using my Tangerine (AWESOME!) machine and Tonic's Verdi's Waves Flourish die set. More on this below.... But, now here is a closeup of the sentiments and butterflies.

Here is the card opened, looking from the inside of the front of the card through to the front. See how it is see through! Thank you Clear Embossable Acetate!!! Woot woot!

To create the card, I cut some purple cardstock with my Tonic 12" Wide Base Craft Guillotine (cuts through everything like buttah!). I scored it in half, then placed one of the Tonic's Swirling Frame Layering die set with one side just over the scored line and ran it through my Tangerine. This cut the card base into the shape of the die. Then, I die cut some white cardstock using Tonic's Swirling Frame Layering die set to layer inside the card. I added glitter (more on this below!) and an embossed sentiment.

Here is a close up of the inside sentiment, from Roses In My Heart stamp set. I positioned the die cut card panel inside my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, placed the stamp where I wanted it, swung the lid shut to grab the stamp, treated my cardstock with Anti Static Bag, and inked up the sentiment with Versamark ink. I sprinkled on Amour embossing powder onto the sentiment, and then heat set it. I LOVE this color! I love how the varying shades of pink pop out but still blend together so well. Just gorgeous.

I also added glitter behind the frame using 3/4" Tear-ific Tape. I used Tangerine and Butterscotch microfine glitters. Here is a close up of the two colors behind the swirling frame die cut.

Okay, here is information on how I created the different parts of this card. After I stamped and embossed the butterflies and sentiments onto the Clear Embossable Acetate panel, I squeezed a huge dollop of Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive onto the back of the acetate. I squirted on some Distress Ink refill ink and swirled the ink into the adhesive. After the entire back of the acetate was covered in inky adhesive, I pressed the Verdi's Waves Flourishes that I die cut from black cardstock. Then, to seal everything in, I pressed a sheet of white tissue paper (that I had crumbled up then smoothed back open) onto the adhesive. I set this aside to dry.

Here is a photo of the front of the acetate, after it dried but before I did anything else to it.

After the ink and adhesive dried, I trimmed the Clear Embossable Acetate to the size I needed. As noted above, I die cut the card panel using the Swirling Frame Layering die set and then cut out the middle of the front card panel to create a big hole in the front of the card. I sized the embossed and inked acetate to the aperature of the card front. I die cut another Swirling Frame Layering die with cardstock to use as the other half of the sandwich so that I could adhere the acetate inside the front of the card, and then layering the additional frame I cut to cover the edges and seal it all together.

Here is the frame that I die cut for the inside of the card. I slightly trimmed the inside edge of the frame so that the card could easily close.

I turned the die cut frame panel over. I adhered 3/4" Tear-ific Tape to the "open holes" of the frame edge. I made sure all the holes were covered, but that the tape didn't stick out over the outside edge of the frame.

I turned the frame back over, and chose two glitters to press into the "holes" on the frame. I used Tangerine and Butterscotch microfine glitters.

I wanted the two colors to be separate, but also blend together. I sprinkled on the Tangerine glitter onto some of the places of the frame. I pressed the glitter with my finger tool and burnished in the glitter. I brushed the remaining glitter off with my Glitter Brush and then repeated with the Butterscotch glitter. Then, I removed the release paper of the Tear-ific Tape and then pressed the glittered frame into my card for the inside. Using Tear-ific tape to "fill" the holes from the backside, and then pressing glitter through the front is a really great way to add awesome glitter to anything!!

I really like how the front panel is see through. When the card is closed, the colors of the front don't quite show up as bright as they really are. But once you open the card and see through the front, it is really bright, you can see the sentiments on the front, butterflies on the back, the Flourishes dies inside and all the bright colors. It is like stained glass - pretty as it is, but once the light shines through it, WOW! Incredible :) Remember to post your amazing creations into our Creative Challenge on Facebook. The January challenge just closed, and February's will open soon. All you need to do is use a Sparkle N Sprinkle image, rubber or digi. And, you can access FREE digi stamps as well, if you don't have any. Check it out on our Facebook page!

Hot Dog card {01.26.2018}

IHello! Todays's card is a sweet little puppy card, that I am also entering into Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #21: Inspiration Board. Let's check out this card!

Supply List:
Lawn Fawn Party Balloons die cut
Sparkle N Sprinkle Clear Detail embossing powder
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Versafine Black Onyx Ink
Versamark ink
Tonic Tangerine machine
Copic markers
Gina K Designs inks
Tim Holtz Distress Inks

I die cut the card panel using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangles die, on my Tonic Tangerine (AWESOME!) machine. The Tangerine cuts right through cardstock like butter ... all my intricate die cuts come out so perfectly! I LOVE it!! I also die cut the pink cardstock using Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Rectangle die. And then I die cut out three hearts in pinks and red, and the balloon string in black cardstock, using Lawn Fawn's Party Balloons die. After all my die cutting was done, it was time to stamp out and color my image! I used my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp out the dog with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock. I stamped another dog onto some post-it-note paper and then fussy cut it out to create a mask. I covered up the doggie on the card panel, then blended on some clouds with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and a cloud template from my stash. I stamped the grass with two green inks from Gina K Designs. After the stamping was done, I removed the mask and then colored the doggie with Copic markers. I stamped the paw print with Versafine Black Onyx ink. I ink blended matching inks to the edges of the pink scalloped layer and the balloons to give everything some gradience. I swiped some Tonic Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen onto the balloons, then I inked up the balloons with Versamark ink and sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Clear Detail embossing powder. I heat set it, and did this for 3 layers on each balloon to give a lot of dimension and shine. I adhered everything together with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and this little card was done!

I really like shades of pink, so this Lawn Fawnatics Challenge was perfect for this puppy card. I hope you enjoyed it!

Snow Bench Card {01.24.2018}

Here is today's card ... a sweet little winter scene with snow and snowbanks. I am so happy I don't see snow out my window, but this little scene is sweet. Here is the card.

Supply List:
Lawn Fawn Winter in the Park stamp set & matching dies
Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies
Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables dies
Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders dies
Sparkle N Sprinkle Cloud Nine glitter
Sparkle N Sprinkle Dimensional Glue
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Tonic Tangerine machine
Tonic 12" Wide Base Craft Guillotine
Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform
Copic markers

I started by stamping out my images from Lawn Fawn's Winter in the Park stamp set onto white cardstock with my Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I LOVE this stamp platform! I get clean crisp stamped images, because I can restamp the same image in exactly the same spot, if I didn't get a solid impression on the first try. Then, I colored the lamps with Copic markers, and then die cut the images with the matching dies.

I squeezed on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Dimensional Glue onto the snow on the back of the snowy bench. I sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Cloud Nine glitter and let it dry. This looked really cool and looked like sparkly snow piled on top of the back of the bench! I also used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle dies to die cut patterned paper for the background. I used Lawn Fawn's Hillside Borders to create snow banks. I layered everything up, and adhered it over some gray cardstock die cut using Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Rectangles. I adhered this all to a white cardstock base and the card was done!

I think this is such a nice little scene. It looks peaceful and calm. It was the perfect card to give with a winter gift for a friend.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Happy Graduation Card {01.22.2018}

I made a graduation card. Let's check it out!

Supply List:
Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest and matching dies
Lawn Fawn Big Scripty Words and matching dies
Lawn Fawn Hats Off To You and matching dies
Lawn Fawn Birthday Tags stamp set
Lawn Fawn Party Balloons dies
Sparkle N Sprinkle Firecracker Red embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle Clear Detail embossing powder
Wagner Heat Gun
Versamark Ink
Tonic Tangerine machine
Tim Holtz Stamp Platform
Copic markers
Distress inks
Gina K Designs ink cubes

I stamped out the fox from Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Forest stamp set and the mortarboard from Lawn Fawn's Hats Off to You stamp set, using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I used Versafine Black Onyx, and then sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it. I created a card base and figured out where I wanted the critter and his graduation cap to be on the front of the card. I lined up the die cuts in those spots, taped them down and ran them through my Tangerine die cut machine to cut the images out of the front of the card. (Note, have the card OPENED when you run it through the die cutting machine so that you cut only through the front part of the card and not both the front and the back!). Even though I had die cut my images, I fussy cut them to remove the little white border around the images. Then, I closed the card and foam mounted the images through the apertures to adhere them to the inside of the card but they poke through the front of the card. I also swiped Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen across the images to add a little sparkle. I tried to capture the sparkle in the photo below. It sparkles much more in real life!

I also stamped out the "congrats" sentiment using Lawn Fawn's Big Scripty Words sentiment. I inked up my stamp, placed in my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, with Versamark Ink. I sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Firecracker Red embossing powder and heat set it. Then I die cut out the sentiment with the matching die. I stamped out some of the fun images (star, confetti) across the front of the card too for extra fun! I adhered the congrats sentiment and the front was done.

I also created a surprise inside ... since you can see the critter and mortar board through the front holes, that isn't the surprise ... but the critter is holding BALLOONS! I die cut several balloons using Lawn Fawn's Party Balloons dies. I ink blended some distress inks to the edges of the balloons to give some gradient to them. I also stamped out the "happy graduation" sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Hats Off To You stamp set.

I am so proud of my friend for completing her degree. This is a fabulous accomplishment!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Unicorn Box with LOTS of bling! {01.19.2018}

Greetings! Squeal!!! Unicorn sighting ... Bling!!! Such fun goodness!!!!

Products used:
Lawn Fawn Gift Box die
Concord & 9th Unicorn Awesomeness Stamp Set
Sparkle N Sprinkle Silver Dreams glitter
Sparkle N Sprinkle Clear Detail embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle White Detail embossing powder
Versamark ink
Versafine Black Onyx ink
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive
Tonic Tangerine
Tonic 12" Wide Base Craft Guillotine
Tim Holtz Stamp Platform
Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat
Distress inks
Bling

The first thing I did was die cut out the gift box ... I used my Tonic Tangerine die cut machine to die cut Lawn Fawn's Gift Box die onto watercolor paper. Then, I stamped out the unicorn with Versafine Black Onyx ink on the box top using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Clear Detail embossing powder and heat set it. I also stamped out the sentiment with Versamark Ink, and sprinkled on White Detail embossing powder and heat set it too. Then, I started watercoloring! I smooshed some distress inks onto my Tonic Easy Clean Craft Mat, spritzed on some water, and brushed the colors where I wanted them. I blended darker blues around the sentiment to make it pop a bit more. Then, when the whole kit and kaboodle was done, I folded up the box, and started blinging it up!! I have these old embellishment jewels that have been in my stash for years ... today was the day to use them! I wanted the unicorn to have a little bling, but I kept adding and adding until the yellow unicorn was covered in blingy jewels! Too cute :)

I also had to bling up the hooves and unicorn horn. I brushed on some Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and sprinkled on Sparkle N Sprinkle's Silver Dreams glitter. This glitter has just a hint of sparkle and it really made this unicorn have the right amount of oomph.

I love unicorns, I love bling, and I love sparkle ... I really hope my friend that I gave this too likes this as much as I do :)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Cardz 4 Galz Challenge # 63: Anything But Square Bunny Card {01.18.2018}

Hi! The current challenge for Cardz 4 Galz is Anything But Square. And, here is my card, which is a bunny!

Products I used for this card:
Tonic Essentials Buildables Betty Bunny Die Set
Lawn Fawn Hoppy Halloween
Lawn Fawn Eggstra Special Easter
Tonic Tangerine Machine
Tonic 12" Wide Base Craft Guillotine
Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive
Distress Ink
Copic markers
Crystal Lacquer

I die cut out some colored cardstock using my Tonic Tangerine Machine and the Tonic Essentials Buildables Betty Bunny Die Set. This die set cuts out all the pieces. I used pink cardstock for the inside of the ears and the nose. I used a cream color for the bunny, black for the eyes, and white for the belly and teeth. I blended distress inks along all the edges to give some gradience to each piece. I also blended ink through some strategic holes on the die cuts for the paw prints and the tail poofs. I also gave the bunny some sweet pink cheeks with copic markers and swiped some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen over the nose, ears, belly, carrots, and egg. I also added Crystal Lacquer clear glue over the ears and nose, as you can see here.

Here is a close up of my egg that I gave to the little bunny. He needed something to hold with his little paw. I stamped out the egg from Lawn Fawn's Eggstra Special Easter stamp set, colored it with Copics, swiped on some glitter with the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen and then coated it with the Crystal Lacquer glue.

And, another embellishment are the carrots the bunny is also holding. I stamped out two carrots from Lawn Fawn's Hoppy Halloween stamp set. I colored them with Copics, swiped on more Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen and once again covered them with Crystal Lacquer clear glue.

I created this bunny into a card by making his body the card piece. Instead of just die cutting his body from a piece of cardstock, I scored and folded a piece of cardstock. I placed the body die over the folded cardstock and moved the die just high enough that the top of the body die was over the folded edge. Then, when I die cut it out, the folded piece didn't cut and I had a little bunny body shaped card. I used Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive to adhere all the body parts, and some dimensional foam tape to give some parts dimension.

I really enjoyed making this bunny shaped card. It definitely isn't a square ... I look forward to the Anything But Square cards you will post in the Cardz 4 Galz Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Some Bunny Card {01.17.2018}

Hi! Today's card is a little card I whipped up for a baby shower I will be attending. Here is the card.

Products used:
Lawn Fawn Hello Baby stamp set and matching dies
Lawn Fawn Grassy Border
Lawn Fawn Critters Down Under
Lawn Fawn Let's Polka In the Meadow Petite Paper Pack
Tonic Die Layering Basics Die Set Mixed Edge Oval
Tonic Tangerine Machine
Tonic 12" Wide Base Craft Guillotine
Versamark Ink
Anti Static Bag
Sparkle N Sprinkle White Detail embossing powder
Versafine Black Onyx Ink
Distress Ink
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens

To make this card: I started out by stamping out the images with Versafine Black Onyx Ink onto cardstock. I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and blended them with a water brush. I die cut some white cardstock in the Tonic Oval die, and a Lawn Fawn patterned paper with a scalloped edge Tonic oval die. I also scored and folded some cardstock and die cut it (with the top of the die just over the edge of the fold so it wouldn't cut) and made a card base shaped in an oval. I ink blended some Distress ink onto my oval cardstock and spritzed it with some water and dried it with some paper towel to give the sky some texture. I die cut the grass with Lawn Fawn's Grassy Border, treated it with my Anti Static Bag, stamped on the sentiment using Versamark Ink, then sprinkled it with Sparkle N Sprinkle's White Detail embossing powder and heat set it. I die cut the images with the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby matching dies. I layered everything on the front of the card with foam tape and adhesive. I stamped a sentiment and the kangaroo from Lawn Fawn's Critters Down Under inside the card, and the card was done!

I hope my friend likes this little sweet card, and she has a great time at her baby shower.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a magical day!

Versamark Ink [VM-001]
Anti Static Bag [99512]
3/4” Tear-ific Tape [SAT05]
Carnation Pink Crystal Drops [666N]

I used the Cara and Mouse Friend digi stamp to make this shadow box card. I sized the image on my computer, then printed it out onto white cardstock. I used the pre-colored version, so all I had to do was bling up Cara and the mouse with some awesome glitters!! Here is a close up of Cara and the mouse. I rolled on adhesive using the Sakura Glue Pen, and then sprinkled on glitters: Pink Fizz for her dress, shoes and hair flowers, Butterscotch for her hair flowers, Mocha for highlights in her hair, Gecko for the grass, and Ocean Breeze for her hair flower centers.

Here is a close up of the sweet mouse! I love the Diamond Dust glitter, and it was perfect to embellish the mouse. He sparkles so much with this glitter. I just love him!

I also printed out one of the stamp set sentiments, and die cut the sentiment using Tonic Die Scalloped Circles. I also die cut one size larger from pink cardstock and used the pink to frame the white circle. Before adhering them together, I treated the circles with my Anti Static Bag, swiped Versamark Ink along the scalloped edges and sprinkled on Princess Rose embossing powder, and heat set them. Check out how different the same embossing powder looks on the white cardstock (it looks lighter pink) and the pink cardstock (it looks darker pink with more depth to it). I loved how this turned out. I also squeezed on some Carnation Pink Crystal Drops along the edges of the sentiment and added some paper flowers from my stash and adhered pearls to the center.

I also pulled out some paper flowers from my stash. I layered them up using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive, and added a pearl from my stash in the centers. I swiped some Sakura Glue Pen adhesive around the pearl and along the petals, and then sprinkled on Cloud Nine glitter. This made the flowers sparkle for sure!

This card is a shadowbox card. They are easy to make, but harder to show well in photographs. I took this photo below to help show the dimension on this card. It is about 2" deep. To make the card, I used my Tonic Guillotine cutter and cut two pieces of pink cardstock to be 5" tall by 9-1/2" wide. I scored both of them at 1/2" and 7-1/2". I folded them and created the shadow box by putting them together into a large rectangle (One piece is the front and side, the other piece is the back and side). I also created the "middle" layer by cutting another piece of pink cardstock to be 5" by 8". I scored this piece at 1/2" and 7-1/2". Now that I had all my pieces ready, I began die cutting them. I started by die cutting out the white cardstock with the printed image of Cara and her Mouse friend. I used the Tonic Tangerine die cutting machine, and used Tonic's Swirling Frame Layering Die to cut out the image. I used the same die to cut out the front layer, and the next smaller die to cut the middle layer. I also blinged up the image layer. I adhered some 3/4" Tear-ific Tape behind the scroll work on the edge. Then, I burnished in some Caspia glitter through the front of the image, and the glitter adheres to the tape that is exposed. This is a really fun and easy way to bring a lot of oomph to your image! Then, I adhered the image to the back of the shadow box, adhered the layers together, and the card was done!
